Aside from a bit of awkwardness in certain places at times, this book was a very compelling read. The third act, particularly, grabbed my attention and I really look forward to the sequel!

The premise of this book had me hooked and I knew I had to get my hands on it as soon as I could. It does deliver on its promise, there's plenty of adventure and intrigue, and I really loved the aspect of xenoarcheology. However there were some things that weren't entirely clear, and the dual perspective was very often lost on me (although that could've been due to the fact that I binge read this book).

This book had a lot of ups and downs, the true plot was slow to begin and it felt a bit choppy but the end was really intriguing. I certainly look forward to the sequel.
