Interesting characters and fresh retelling of Arthurian legends, but I just didn’t care enough to want to continue.
There’s no momentum in the story. The first big surprise is interesting; the real plot doesn’t start until around the 50% mark in this 22 he audiobook, and then it loses momentum again.
Returning my library copy early so that another reader might enjoy it.

slow-paced
Interesting, but feels like it should’ve been a short story. Also, probably better to read with my eyes and my ears… The switching characters wasn’t as easily done audio. At the end, I just didn’t care enough to spend the next few hours finishing it.

Find book, but not super engaging. Probably better in print than an audio. I just wanna move to the next thing in queue.
I really loved what I’ve read from Jemison. However, even though this is really well written, and a very interesting concept, I just find myself not caring enough to continue to engage. Very well done book, recommended, but just not clicking for me at the moment. Perhaps this really works best for people who love love love NYC. . Since I’ve already put this down before, and return to it, I’m gonna call this one DNF.
Gorgeous writing, Moody setting and characters, but the plot was just getting too dark for what I wanted to handle.
Thus Spoke the Plant: A Remarkable Journey of Groundbreaking Scientific Discoveries and Personal Encounters with Plants

I like woo woo discussions of plant conversation, but this one's a little too much. Orynggum in chapter 0, the plant naming itself as part of the authors trip, isn't a great place to start for me.
Audiobook library Loan ran out. May or may not return to this
