I really, really hope the goal of this book was not to evoke empathy for Ana or Conner. If I was supposed to despise them, it did a good job. (You'll understand if you read this, I don't want  to spoil anything.)

I really didn't like that her poetry has repeating lines that repeat anywhere from 3 to 6 times in a row. In almost every single poem.
