Honestly, for a retelling, I loved it. It felt like its own book that pulled light inspiration that was still heartbreaking, hopeful, and intriguing. The mystery was good as well and I didn’t see any of the plot twists coming. Fully enjoyed this book.

Easy to finish this book in a day. I’ll be thinking about some of these poems for a while.

I like that this book passes the Bechdel test, has characters that do grow, and I felt invested in both characters stories.

Just when the plot really starts to pick up; the book ends.

Don’t get me started on Feyre fighting the worm like 🏃‍♀️🪱🦴.
Tamlin is such a red flag, curse or no curse he didn’t even try to tell her about his world. A real gaslight, gatekeeper, fuckboi. Plus his jealousy issues are ❌
Feyre can’t think herself out of a wet paper bag.
Alis and Lucian were my favorites. Alis kept things real and Lucian called Feyre dull. Good times.

The beginning was a little slow, but I liked how the characters were different tones and I could tell who was talking via the type of speech.

Reading this book was a good way to spend the afternoon, but was a tad too religious for me. The overall message still ran clear, but it just kind of felt like a scavenger hunt.

First off, absolutely love Kingsley and if anybody hurts the frog I’m rioting.

Second, this reads like a dramatic reality tv show, but it sure is entertaining. So if you’re looking for a serious read, maybe circle back to this later. However, if you just want something funny and goofy, then this is a great choice.

I think I enjoyed this book more than Divine Rivals. There were greater risks and both characters were effected by the war in ways that left scars.

This book is cathartic (in a way, sad in another) if you ever dated a controlling or abusive person. That feeling of longing for them to leave but also return is described perfectly.
