It took a few chapters to get used to Eleanor, but once you do you spend the rest of the book rooting on her personal growth. Her vocabulary is far superior to my own and I definitely recommend the Kindle version for quick access to definitions. Overall I enjoyed this read -with one twist I saw coming and another that hit me like a ton of bricks!

Not my favorite John Green, mostly because of the disappointing ending.

I waited so long to read this book, I thought for sure it was overhyped. I thought I had it all figured out from the jump, but one twist in particular actually had me saying “OMG!” Outloud to myself. Definitely worth the read and now on to watch the mini series!

I’m honestly really surprised at the lukewarm Goodreads review on this one. Sure, it’s difficult to measure up to classics like This Lullaby or The Turth About Forever, but I still thoroughly enjoyed, as well as completely devoured this book. It had all the bones of signature Dessen, with a heartbreaking backstory that brought it into 2017. Overall, I would recommend highly to any YA enthusiast and certainly any SD fan.

I walked 1.5 miles to Barnes and Noble to devour this book, all so that I could watch the Netflix movie this weekend...totally worth it.
