I picked it from the available now ebook list at the library. I don't DNF books here. But I wasn't enjoying this one. I didn't realize it'd be too young for me. Writing felt cliche/juvenile with repetitive phrasing at times. But I was interested in it because of the representation. So if you like specific YA based romance... Just wasn't meant for me.

Really enjoyable. Fast read (in chunks) a little iffy on how the climax and resolution are structured so close to the end of the book. Doesn't feel like there's enough time I would have read more! Read for a bookclub at work that's highlighting disabled characters and voices. Really loved learning more about Deaf culture, ASL. Seeing folks start learning at different levels like Charlie was super helpful entry to the "world".

It's solidly enjoyable. Some stories were out of my comfort zone - I wouldn't have picked them up on their own. But everything is well written. I read in order.

A really good mental health book that's split between memoir and self help.

Would definitely read a continuation. There's conflict between the two MC but not in an insufferable way. It felt like enough twists and turns so the ending was never wrapped with a bow.

I grew up in the Town so I liked this story when I read it in 05. Movies good too but book has that townie yuppie conflict that the movie misses.

Disappointed that this book was completed so close to the reuse master plan, instead of a few years after to include the effects. Still enjoyed the history. Slower going until the 20th century rolled around.
