Briefly, this is a gorgeous graphic novel that's rich in disturbing story and wonderful art. But for the Joker origin storyline, I thought it fell a little flat. Started out strong, with his pregnant wife and his failing career, but the actual turn seemed rushed and sudden. I mean, he lands in the chemicals and suddenly he's hysterically insane, there just wasn't enough transition.
