This was absolutely delightful. I of course adored Forever Your Rogue and Gavin was an absolute standout in that, so it’s lovely to see this awkward baby get his own book! Perpetually displaced governess Emilia is a delight and his perfect match. And Nate’s matchmaking shenanigans are chef’s kiss.

I enjoyed this second installment in the series, but it was honestly about 100 pages too long.

Well, this one was disappointing, to be honest. I beyond adored the first two books in the series, this one just didn’t hit the same, partially cause I didn’t like Lillias or Hugh. I was going to DNF and just skim for the Palace bits, but after a little bit of that, the plot picked up, so I finished after all. I still love JAL’s writing, but I’ll probably take a break before diving into anymore. Unless Dot gets the book she deserves, I’m not sure I need to read about more random tenants.

The audio honestly didn’t do it any favors. Justine Eyre is a fine narrator, not my favorite but generally good, but her dudes are usually her weak spot, and her American accent didn’t help in that regard.

I definitely read this when I was blowing through every Nascosta I could get my hands on, but I didn’t review it then? It’s okay. The way she plays with the Krampus lore is definitely fun (EXTREMELY darkly smutty), but that some stories were interconnected and others weren’t(?) was confusing.

Omegaverse isn’t generally my jam, but I’m always down for giving it another chance, and I was glad I did with this series. It was also a second chance for Sarah Blue— I was pretty underwhelmed One Pucked Up Pack. This was sweet & I liked the character dynamics.

Read The Filled Vessel by CM Nascosta: The story of a wannabe witch in Cambric Creek whose sleep paralysis demon falls in love with her while covering for an incubus. This is so much darker than I’m usually into, and somehow delightful at the same time. And smutty as hell. Plus SUCH an accurate portrayal of sleep paralysis almost hit too close to home. 4/5 stars

A sweet little romp of a prequel novella about Nate’s brother and sister-in-law. I loved almost everything about it, except I couldn’t help but keep thinking about how intractable Raymond was in Forever Your Rogue and how that ultimately failed his siblings. They stepped up as well as they could, but I wanted them to do even better, especially with how much I liked them in this.

Soft DNF. Just have to be in a certain mood for femdomme smut, and I’m not in it right now.
