Just a cute silly missing scene. Colin is a little over the top, but he always is in his interactions with Thorne. Totally fine, but nothing to write home about.

I loved this one so much, especially in the middle stretch. Charlotte and Piers are absolutely delightful together and the funny parts are hilarious. This was fully a 5-star read until the last quarter where things went a bit off the rails—
Piers setting the fire seems like basically the dumbest move ever, but I could deal with that. But then Minerva and Diana show up to dispense the stupidest advice ever? No one was trying to kill Charlotte after all and Lord Vernon was (predictably) banging his wife the whole time? Ehhh, less so. It’s a spy romance with no villain and it just needed one. Honestly at one point I thought Piers’ valet was trying to off Charlotte because she was ruining their work, and that would have been way more interesting.
So I still adored it, but negative points.
fast-paced

Very cute sci-fi western romp! A little bit instalove for my tastes, but I’m intrigued by the penal colony’s circumstances and the Future MCs within. A+ frying pan action.
