Reread a favorite this past week after listening to the Matilda Musical soundtrack. Still a great story of a little girl taking control of her own destiny. <3

I have read this book every year since I received this book, circa 1992 or 1993. The stories are mostly wonderful, save a few overly religious and one instance of pretty overt racism. Years later, there are still several stories I treasure in this volume and I continue to read it annually, every time with a more constructive and social-justice-ish lens.

Super cute book encouraging creativity and imagination for young ones.

Gorgeously illustrated children's book celebrating differences in culture.
