Pucked was one of my favourite books in 2015, so I was excited to read Pucked Up.

In Pucked, I wasn't really sure if I liked Miller "Buck" Butterson. He really was a bit of an arse.

I have to say, from the minute I started reading Pucked Up, my mind was made up. I liked him. He is zany, funny - but we see there is so much more to him. He really does have a heart of gold underneath the manwhore exterior.

He's always partaken in the benefits of being a hockey star - puck bunnies ready for the taking He is zany, crazy

Until Sunny.

Sunny is Alex (from Pucked) sister - and could just be the one - if he doesn't mess things up.

Sunny is his complete opposite. She is sweet, caring - though maybe takes other people's opinions into consideration a bit too much when it comes to her life. Gah, I wanted to talk some sense into her so many times about that!

But she is perfect for Buck, complements him in every way.

Buck seems to stumble into situations that look bad, without even trying. Sure, there are some very funny things that happen to him that you can't help laugh out loud about, but at other times, I couldn't help but cringe for him. My heart just breaks for him when everyone thinks the worst.

I LOVE his interactions with Violet. OMG they are so funny. There are some things that only a sibling can get away with! Vi is Buck's harshest critic, but she would go to the mattresses for Buck, time and time again.

Pucked Up is not the laugh out loud, OMG! kind of book that Pucked was. Sure, it has it's hilarious moments **Cough cough spiders cough cough** but it touches on some deeper issues too.

I did get frustrated with Sunny at times, as she kept having the same issues with Buck. I don't trust you blah blah. Rinse. lather. Repeat. I would have walked away a looooong time ago if I was Buck!

So do Buck and Sunny get their HEA, or is it all too much?

For that you will have to red for yourself.

Well done Ms Hunting in getting me to love a character I was sure I was going to hate!

Can't wait for Pucked Over!

Sigh.... Leah.

I have loved every word of the Reckless Beat series, but I have always wanted, no needed, to know more about Leah and Ryan's "relationship"

After the events at the end of Sultry Groove, this need intensified,so when I found out about Reckless Rendezvous, happy dancing ensued! OK, it might have been happy dancing in my mind, but there was happy dancing!

My heart hurt for her from the minute I started reading until the last word. I just wanted her to find happy. And while she has some hot hot times in Vegas, you just know her heart isn't in it.

This is more than a sexy trip to Sin City - this is the story of Leah coming to realise what her life has become, a journey of self discovery, a journey of change.

And now I need the next full book in the series, I need to know that Leah gets her HEA after all.

This is a quick novella that you won't want to put down once you start. And it will leave you wanting more

Please don't make us wait too long Ms Summers!

Oh, what a joy it is to be back in the world of Bullet/Fully Automatic! It feels like it has been so long since we have gotten to spend any real time with them!

Nick Channing is Fully Automatic's drummer, and I have felt that through the other books in the series, he has been in the background. But not anymore!!

Now also playing with Val's new band, Val Hella (awesome name!) and it is time for him to hang up is "player" boots and settle down with that one woman who can tame him.

Sabrina/Brina/Sinna is just that woman - or so he thinks.

You know how sometimes you dislike a character at the beginning of the book but absolutely love them by the end? Yeah, Brina is not one of them for me! I just wanted to reach into my kindle and bitch slap her from the beginning to the end!! She is a certified grade A bitch! I think I disliked her even more at the end of the book than the beginning!!

Well played Ms Jamison, well played.

The more we got to know Nick the more I adored him. Yeah he has the man-whore player reputation, but he is the kind of guy who wears his heart on his sleeve. He absolutely loves Brad/Ethan and Val's kids, Would do anything for his friends. Adores his best friend Gracie.

There are a couple of things happening in the background with Val and Brad, which you will already know about if you have read Christmas Stalkings, but if you haven't, you should to get the whole picture.

Ms Jamison has a way that draws you into the world of her books. You can feel the music, hear the crowds, feel every emotion her character is feelings. At times I think I felt it even worse than they did!

And that is what I love about her writing. No matter which book of hers I am reading, I do feel that emotional attachment.

I don't want to say too much, but I just have to say that I felt that things ended up the way they always should have and would have. I just wanted more more more!

Now I just need to know more about Zane!

I am sad to see this trilogy end with On The Rocks.

On The Rocks was I feel the best, and my favourite of the 3 installments.

From stars in their eyes, the sex, drugs and rock and roll culture, to present day, Kyle Summers has told us her story.

We were left on cliffhanger with the second installment, On The Rocks, and I was impatient to learn where Kyle was at in this installment.

From the first book, we have seen Kyle mature in her life, her career, her love life.

Now she is branching out on her own career wise, and we see her really come to the fore.  Though her love life, and particularly her relationship with CJ is a hot mess.  It had my stomach in knots as I was taken on a emotional rollercoaster.  I just want them to be happy dammit!!

And CJ - might have swooned just a little in couple of places this book!

There were plenty of twists and turns in this book, but I knew that Ms Jamison would not let me down in the end.

Oooh and there were some great cameos with the boys from Last Five Seconds (Jet/Clay's band from the bullet series)

If you like your rock star books a little different, a little grittier than the norm, then the Vagabonds could be just the thing that you need.

I will say up front - for most of the first 3 books in the Thoughtless series, I didn't like Griffin Hancock - at all. So going in I knew that it was going to be a hard sell for me to like him when the whole book was about him, but I was excited all the same to receive an ARC.

I loved getting back into the D-Bags world, but god almighty, Griffin grated on just about every last nerve. The first 65% was him all "I am awesome" and I just wanted to slap the crap out of him for being such a self absorbed jerk!

It was like reading a 13 year old girl's diary! Whine whine whine, me me me. I could understand why he felt the way he did about some things, but the way he carried on - I was getting ready to call the waaaaambulance!

I could see that he loved his family, but his actions didn't really show that at all. For as long as I had wanted to get into Griffin's head, there were times when I wanted to get out of there so much!

Makes it sound like I didn't like this book, doesn't it?

Whilst I abhorred him and his actions for a great part of the book, the last 35% of it were amazing.

After all these years, we finally saw some changes in Griffin "The Hulk" Hancock - and all for the better. I saw regard for others, I saw humility. Heck, I saw a broken man making amends.

And then Ms Stephens managed something I never thought would happen.

I shed a tear for Griffin Hancock

And in the end, I liked the new, and vastly improved Griffin.

That all the outer bravado and jokes and crude behaviour was hiding so much. Anger. Bitterness. And at times, fear.

His story shows that you can be overly confident, but that confidence is not always enough. It can only get you so far in life.

And that family - blood or the family you create - is the most important thing you can have in your life.

So thank you Ms Stephens for making Griffin a character that I could truly like, maybe even have a bit of a spot in my heart for.

My brain hurts!

Fasten your seatbelts, secure all valuables and keep arms and legs inside the carriage, because with Lux, you will be still be on the ride that began with Verum.

Lux felt like the first verse of Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen;

"Is this the real life? Is this just fantasy?
Caught in a landslide, no escape from reality"

Throughout the whole book, I found myself falling deeper into the rabbit hole, not knowing which way was was, what was the truth in all the madness.

And still, even a week after I finished reading it, my head is still spinning.

At the end of Verum, we were left with so many questions - who is alive, who is dead, what the hell is happening.

With Lux, we get more of the same, but with additions! Things that are raised in the novella Initium (which you really probably should read before Lux) are carried through to Lux, and pay an integral part of the story.

I adore Calla and Dare - theirs is such a heartfelt yet heartbreaking story. It's all a case of will they or won't they? Can they have a HEA or is it not on the cards for them.

And for that, you are going to have to read for yourself.

My mind is still running around in circles as to what really has happened.

I guess it is one of those things you really need to read for an make a decision for yourself.

The Nocte Trilogy is unlike any other series I have ever read. I have been mind-f*&ked over and over - but coudn't stop coming back for more!

What a dark, twisted place it must be in Ms Cole's mind - and I LOVE it!

I will say upfront that I have not read all the previous books in this series, only some so far. But this does not at all take away from my enjoyment of The Fifteenth Minute, as it can be read as a standalone.

Hockey hotties? Let me at them. Well, Daniel aka DJ isn't a hockey player, but he is surrounded by them, so I included him in the hockey hotties category.

Lianne wants what we all want - to be accepted. To be loved. But this is hard to come by when you are famous. When everyone knows who you are, what you do. When everyone makes fun of your career.

I adored Lianne from the first page. I just wanted to sit and have a coffee, give her a hug, just hang out with

Dan "DJ" is the first person in a long time that she trusts, that she likes. Heck, that likes her for who she is, not what she does. And he believes in her.

There is a push/pull between Lianne and DJ, and I just wanted them to get things sorted, get themselves together. As we learn more about why DJ is pulling away, I just wanted to scream at my kindle. Things that can be so life altering, so scary to go through. My heart broke for him throughout the whole.

This is a beautiful, romantic book about wanting the best for others, all the while learning that you should want, no, that you deserve the best for yourself.

I couldn't help but love Lianne and DJ, through their highs and their lows - and I really think that I need to know more about them in the future.

Ms Bowen has a way with words that drew me into the story from the first word to the last. I didn't want to put it down once I had started, and it has made me want to go back and read the books I have missed so far.

This is the first in the series that I have read, but The Game Plan can be read as a stand alone (though I will be going back and reading the first 2 books at some stage)

I wasn't sure what to expect with The Game Plan, however the blurb had me intrigued. And once I started, I just didn't want to put it down.

I loved the role reversal in this book. As it says in the blurb, it is rumoured that NFL player Ethan "Dex" Dexter is a virgin - hooray for it not being the naive virginal girl for a change. for once I didn't feel like rolling my eyes.

As we learn more about Dex, the reader can really understand why things are as they are. There is a depth to Dex that I wasn't expecting and that I really loved. He is an old soul in a young man's body. Ms Callihan did a wonderful job with this aspect of the story. it was sweet, it was heartfelt, and

Fi is his penguin. She is it for him - even if she doesn't know it... yet. She is not one for the limelight, despises being the centre of attention. But for Dex, well, he is a game changer.

There is a connection between Dex and Fi that can't be broken. They draw each other out of their self imposed shells, they open up to each other like they never have before. There is a depth of feeling between them that I swear, made me adore Dex more and more every page.

The road to love is never a smooth one, and more than once Dex and Fi's relationship is tested by outside factors. And while my heart cracked for them at these times, I just knew that they would fight it till the end.

I love love LOVED the banter between Dex and his team mates/college friends. Both on and off the field.

I also love the relationship between Fi and her sister Ivy, who is married to Dex's best friend Gray (from the previous book).

The Game Plan grabbed me from the first word, and now I am off to one click the previous two books.

3.75-4.0 stars

This is the first I have read of Ellie O'Neill and it was quite an enjoyable read.

It did take me a little while to get into the story, but once I did, I kept right at it.

Maeve has become a bit superficial and a lot self indulged over the past couple of years, and when she does wrong by her best friend and roommate, and her boss sends her on an unusual work assignment, things start to change.

The island she is sent to is quite bizarre. Strange things are afoot at Hy Brasil. The island, the people are all unfriendly.

But at the same time, there is something about the place that brings out the best in Maeve. As much as this is a romance story, this is more a story of Maeve rediscovering herself.

The Enchanted Island straddles the line between a paranormal kind of read and a romance. It neither gets too dark and mystical nor too sweet and cutesy

I loved the characters - particularly the "non-islanders". The islanders, not so much!

I enjoyed Maeve's burgeoning relationship with Killian, and would really like to know what happens after the end of this book.

This is my first Ellie O'Neill read, but I would definitely read more in the future
