Just when you think you know what is happening..... nope, Courtney Cole does it again.

This novella gives a bit of insight into Dare, but then it leaves you with more questions than you already had.

And I already had a lot.

Not long now until Lux, the conclusion of this series, and time for me mind to be f*^ked all over again

Things sure are heating up in the courtroom!

What is there not to love about a Sawyer Bennett novel?

Sexy guy? Check!
Strong, smart woman? Check! No whimpering little daisies for Ms Bennett

Storyline that make the book un-put-downable? Check Check Check!

Right from their first meeting the sexual chemistry between lawyers Leary and Reeve are off the charts. I mean paint stripping off the walls, inferno hot. You just know that things are going to be intense between them.

I loved how they interwove their careers and their relationship without destroying either... as they worked opposing sides to a legal battle.

I adored Leary. The more we learn about her, her upbringing, her struggles, the more I loved her. There is so more to her than sexy stocking and power suits!

As the story and court case progressed, I was on edge, needing to know how things would turn out - both for the case and for Leary and Reeve.

There are some great secondary characters - and some not so nice ones, who really give lawyers a bad name! Leary's boss Midge, best friend Ford. I would loooove to have more about Midge!

Friction is a smart, sassy, fun read, but there was just one thing...

I OBJECT... to it ending!

Looking forward to whatever Ms Bennett brings us next

In this weeks episode we are back focusing on the roadies, in particular Sawyer's cousing Kelly!

This is by far the sweetest novella in the series. Words cannot explain how much I wanted Kelly to get his man, Jasper.

After months of living it up, taking the perks of working with a rock band, his time with them is coming to an end, and he finally makes that hail Mary pass on the one person he has wanted all along.

Jasper is another roadie who has also been intrigued by the young Aussie, but had not acted due to their age difference.

I LOVED these two! I think these are my favourite pair of the whole series. I loved how they were with each other, heck I just loved every single thing about them both.

Of all the novellas, I think these are the two that I most wanted to have a full blown relationship - I could handle a whole book about them Ms Husk!

This is a story of Kelly exploring his sexuality, and going all out for what he wants.

Lovers of M/M stories will adore this installment. The only thing wrong with it for me, was that it was too short! I wanted more!

This is the first I have read by Shona Husk, but I will be checking more out.

This is a novella in the White Pines series, and a quick story that I really enjoyed.

This story starts in the present, but we flashback and are taken on the journey of Betty and Randall's courtship. Now, I have never read a story where the leading man was a Pastor, so this was a cute addition.

The people of White Pines are all a little quirky, a bit different, a lot of fun. Betty has never really fit in and when trouble strikes, she asks Randall to help her out

There is a connection, tension between Betty and Randall that you just want them to say "who cares" to what everyone else thinks and just go for it. I live in a small town, so I could understand the everyone getting in everyone else's business, the small mindedness and pettiness.

I loved that we got more of the ladies from the other books, got a peek into where there lives are at now. And there is also some setting up for the next book in the series, Casey's story.

This is a quick, sweet, read - just enough to tide me over until the next book.

Mandy Magro is a new to me author, and I was lucky enough to receive a copy of Country At Heart from the publisher via Netgalley.

I love a rural romance, and a rural romance set in Australia even more.

From the start, Country at Heart felt like a warm blanket on a cold night, covering the reader with love.

I instantly adored Summer - she goes for what she wants, she stands up to her parents about what she want to do with her life.

Dean - oh Dean. Sexy soldier boy with a heart of gold. Though, this may just be me, but at times He felt a bit girly, a bit flowery. So not the bad ass soldier that we know he is.

But his scenes in Afghanistan, with his bomb-detection team and his dog Indy - heartstrings were pulled.

Some of Summer's actions made me scratch my head a couple of times - particularly when it came to her "friend" Marcus - gah, I wanted to throat punch him, bitch slap him and neuter him all at the same time. He was just completely unlikable.

From the start I kind of knew where this story was going to end up - not a bad thing by any means. I love a good story with a HEA, and knew this was what I would be getting.

I look forward to reading more of Ms Magro's work, both her past books and future reads.

CP Smith has done it again! Just when you think she can't top her last book... BOOM! She amazes me all over again.

I have read each and every book she has published to date, and each and every time, I devour them.

Kade and Harley have been aware of each other, circling each other for years. But their timing has never been right, and nothing has ever happened.

They do finally start to get their act together - but not in the best or most convenient circumstances.

I just love Ms Smith's alpha men - and this one being a Navy SEAL - can I just saw phwooooar (I may be a bit of a sucker for a SEAL)

Then there are her feisty, take no BS do women. Harley is a firecracker! She gets herself into dramas, but she is not too stupid to listen when she needs to. Her job as a trainer with abused dogs - waterworks! I loved this additional aspect to the story.

Watching Kade claim Harley - finally - is a beautiful thing. No matter what has happened, where he is at, he has held his head high. And now he is taking what he has always wanted.

And last but not least - Kade's tough as shit, take no prisoners, "The Princess Bride" loving SEAL brothers. Oh how I love love love them! They will surprise you more than once whilst reading Framed.

There is more to Kade's incarceration then you first think, and as the story progresses, tales of lies, deception, corruption and injustice come to the fore. The dark depths that Harley and the Brute Squad will delve into to find truth will have you on the edge of your seat.

Ms Smith drew me into this story from the moment I first read a synopsis months ago. And from the first word to the last, she held me captive.

Do yourself a favour - read this book. You will not be disappointed.

Now, Ms Smith - what do you have for us next.

Firstly, here - if you are anything like me, you are going to need some of these.

This is the second book in the Vault of Sin series but you could read it as a standalone - though why you would want to miss out on any of the goodness that is an Eden Summers book...

We met Tate Jackson - TJ - in A Shot of Sin, and knew something was going on with him, but man oh man were things going on.

Right from the very start, this is what Ms Summers did to me.

TJ and his wife Cassie are having some marital troubles. When TJ decides to take things into his own hands, he breaks his wife's heart - and his own.

Gah! I wanted to scream at T.J to stop being an idiot, to talk to Cassie, to make things right. There was just so much sadness, a sense of resignation surrounding TJ, you know he is going to keep moping around, never making things right.

I cheered as Cassie decided enough was enough, and worked on getting T.J see what an idiot he was being.

For every glimmer of hope Ms Summers gives us, she breaks our hearts twice. Oh my goodness, there were times when I just couldn't read through my tears. This story just got to me in a big way and I just could not put it down once I started it.

I loved how we got more of Leo and Shay and where their relationship is at (from book 1) and I think i just love Brute more and more every scene he is in.

I can't wait for Brute's book - it is going to be a lot of fun on the ride to find the lady who brings him to his knees!

With each and every book, Ms Summers makes me fall more and more in love with her characters.

And I can't wait to see what she brings us next.

Crave has been a long while coming, but man oh man, is it worth every second of the wait.

Callum Alexander - women want him. Men want to be him. But they don't see the man behind the facade.

He has been the man they want him to be for so long that he doesn't know how to be any different.

Until her. Until Lucia.

Can I just say right not - I freaking LOVE Lucia - Luce.

From the minute we met her, I couldn't help be adore her to bits. You can just tell she is a bit mischievous. Sassy and sweet. A lot of fun.

And you just know that she is going to be the best thing to ever happen to Callum.

"This woman is both my sin and my salvation. One look at the desperate need in her eyes has me wanting to drop to my knees in worship."

The more we got to know our lovelies, the more I wanted, no needed to know more. Sometimes we can get bogged down with too many details about characters, but it was the completed opposite. I craved every single morsel that Ms Harvey gave us.

There is a bit of mystery through Crave too. Someone is sabotaging Callum's company, there is a nuisance reporter hounding his every move,. I had an idea of who was behind things, but were they? I was surprised as things were revealed.

My heart clenched as Callum's dark cravings came out to play. We already know he's a naughty boy, but there was a couple of WTF moments to be had!

"I'm the ultimate sinner. A conceited man who took what was offered without any forethought given to the rise or the wide-reaching effects of the act itself."

I also LOVED Callum's best friend and business partner Grant. We NEEEEEED more of him - STAT!

Ms Harvey takes us on one heck of a ride with Crave. The highs, the lows, the laughter and the sadness. I hope we get more of them in the future.

And please - can we have a book for Grant. Pretty please with a cherry on top Ms Harvey. I am not too ashamed to bribe you with Cadbury's!!

I have not read the first two books in the Briar Creek series, but this did not leave me wondering.

I am a sucker for a friends-to-lovers romance, and Hope Springs on Main Street was a great way to spend a Spring afternoon.

Sometimes you can't see right what is under your nose - and that is how things are with Jane.

Recently divorced. Single mum to a beautiful little girl. Fodder for the small town gossip mill.

There were so may times I just wanted to hug her so hard!

At the same time I wanted to throat punch her ex hubby Adam. There is only one way to describe him.

Henry, Adam's best friend is back in town, and things are about to get interesting! I would have thought Adam would have been more upset with Henry and his burgeoning friendship with Jane. But then again, he wasn't that worried about Jane when he was with her, so I guess that I shouldn't have been too surprised.

I adored Jane's relationship with her sisters, Grace and Anna.

But Henry.... sigh. The more we learn about him, the more we learn about his feelings for Jane. You can't help but love the guy. Sure, I wanted to slap him around the ears for procrastinating about Jane, but still loved him.

There was something that was done that I would have liked to have known more about, as it did play a pretty big part in the direction of the story.

But that could just be me!

This is my first Olivia Miles books, but I will definitely be making time to go back and read the first two Briar Creek stories.
