I read this straight off the back of reading the introductory novella, so I had a good idea of the characters (though not as much as I would have if I had read the Love Undercover books beforehand, so I have been told lol)

I have to say I just adore Cannon. Strong, fun, successful.... and only has eyes for the one girl he has loved for years, Yvette.

Wow, what Yvette has gone through! How emotionally strong she is was amazing. Oh, and can't forget that she is still in love with Cannon!

I tell you what, I need to head to this town and hang out at their rec centre because gees Louise it seems to be hottie central!!

I did feel for a little while there that Cannon and Yvette just seemed to go around in circles, their relationship not moving forward and they kept on going over the same things, but this may just be me?

I know I am a late comer to this series, but man I am loving it more and more - and I really do need to get back and read the earlier series.

What I really loved the most though is the way all the fighters protect and fight for their "family". They all rally around with shit happens, they rib on each other like no ones business, but you know that if you ever need them they are there.

Armie! Armie is amazing! At times I didn't know whether I felt like punching him or laughing with him. I am reaaaaaaallllly wanting his and Rissy's story (though I know Denver's story is coming up next). I just can't wait to see what happens with this pair. It is going to be explosive!

Bring on Holding Strong Ms Foster!

4.5 emotional stars

I was intrigued when I read the synopsis of Abuse, and I had to get stuck into it.

Wow, what an emotional book. My heart broke over and over for Grant as he delved into his past with his therapist Andre Chevalier. It dove right in there, and unlike other books where we find out the MC's have been abused, this got straight to the heart of the matter

More than once it caught me right in the feels and I didn't know whether I wanted to cry or throw something. That is the kind of writing that I love, one that draws me right into the story with the characters.

I absolutely adore Andre! I know Andre has been in other books, but this is the first book of Ms Sex's that I have had the pleasure to read.

Renata I did not connect with as much as Andre and Grant, however at times I could really understand where her character comes from . I have family on the Autism spectrum so some of her actions and reactions I could feel.

For a while there I was wondering why we were reading about this other character Stan, for the first half he just didn't seem to click in with the other characters, but as the story progressed he did.

While this is a sexy book, it is more a story with some sex in it rather than a book that's all sex.

I did feel though that even though we got to know a lot about Grant and Renata, them getting to know each other happened superfast. I am not a fan of insta-love relationships so this may be why I felt this way. This might not bother anyone else though.

This does end with a few unresolved issues, and there is going to be more in the series (though not sure how many or when). I will definitely be reading more as they are released.

And I need to go back and read more about Andre

I have to admit, I did not realise this was a series of novelettes when I agreed to read them, but that did not stop me from enjoying them.

It is hard to get a lot of information into a story that is only 33 pages long, but Mina Carter has managed it well.

Fern and Tom's attraction is instan, and a good dose of insta-lust has things heating up pretty darn quick (well, I guess it has to be in such a short story!)

What was different that I liked was that Tom was insecure with his looks. We are used to this in the female characters, but this was a fresh change.

There is only so much that can happen in a novelette, but I did enjoy what we got. Would love a full length story of the Strathstow Sharks

This is second in the Strathstow Sharks series but could be read as a stand alone as there is no mention of the characters from the first book.

Will and Daisy's story is hot hot hot from the get go - though not so sure I would be kissing the guy who thought I was robbing him!

I like these stories, even though they are sooooo short.

I liked that at least this time Will and Daisy actually got to go on a date before getting down and dirty - which was sexy hot.

I just wished that we could get full length stories for these guys. I would like to think that these couples would get more than a one night stand?

Another short, hot read from Mina Carter

What I liked about this third in the Strathstow Sharks series was that this was not an insta-attraction story.

Harry and Ashley have been eyeing each other off for months as the Sharks rugby team play. I loved that that have gotten to actually know a little about each other before they jump into bed together.

These two are super hot and sexy together! Makes me want more.

This series are only short, and I would say they would be a good thing to read in your lunch break - but they might get you all hot and bothered.

I have said it before and I will say it again. I wish this series was made into full length novels, and I am a huge fan of rugby, and I want more of the Sharks.

I feel that it is best to dive into Nocte blind. Just buy it and read it.

I have been holding off reading Nocte as I had heard that there was a cliffhanger, but now that the second book Verum is not far off, I thought I had better get to it.

Holy crap! Why did I wait? Oh yeah, the reason above, and plus I am not a big read of YA books, as I am a loooong way past that stage of life.

But Nocte was a slap in the face. I could not stop reading once I started. It is dark, suspsenseful, twisted. And I couldn't have loved it any more than I do.

The way Ms Cole delves into the dark and mysterious world of the mind was amazing. There was a complete WTF moment that made me feel like I had to have missed something while I was reading. Surely I couldn't have not seen that coming?

But no, it was all down to Ms Cole's amazing writing. So different from her other books. Just proves what a versatile writer she is.

Seriously, if you haven't read Nocte, go. Do it. Right now. You won't be disappointed

DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU HAVE NOT READ NOCTE!!

See that spinning head up there? Yeah, that was me at the end of Nocte!

But fasten your seatbelts, secure all valuables and keep arms and legs inside the carriage, because with Verum you are going to be taken on an

I seriously did not think that this book could have been better than Nocte, but boy was I wrong! I was up until nearly 2am this morning reading, as I just couldn't put Verum down!

I was glad that I only read Nocte a week before Verum, and there was so much going on, and since I suffer fron book-zheimers and often forget details, it was fresh in my mind.

All I knew was that I wanted Calla and Dare to be happy, and that maybe, just maybe they could get there.

My heart broke over and over for Calla as she remembers things about the accident. Can she get to the truth or are lies and omissions standing in her way? I could feel her frustration, her fears coming off the pages. She does what she is doing for answers, but every answers brings more questions.

Dare, Dare, Dare. Oh how I love you, but at times I was annoyed with you!

You know how with Nocte, you thought you knew what was happening, but then it was like Woah! What was that?

In Verum I feel like I spent a great deal of the book befuddled and confused. And just when I thought I had my head around what was happening...

We are hit with another mind f&*k of epic proportions! Well played Ms Cole, well played. I think it must be an amazing and scare place, your mind, while you are writing this series!

I can't see what you have for us in Lux - is it May yet?

If you are looking for a dark, suspenseful, mind blowing series, The Nocte Trilogy is a must.

If you have already read Nocte, make sure you have your one-click finger read for Verum on 2nd February.
