** If you have not read Losing It, do so before reading Keeping Her**

Review may contain spoilers if you have not read Losing It.

Keeping Her follows on a few months after the epilogue in Losing It.

Busy working in theatre, happily engaged, Garrick and Bliss travel to London to meet his parents.

It is a big step out of their comfortable 'love bubble' they have created around themselves in Philly.

Garrick comes from money - lots of it, and his snobbish parents go out of their way to make Bliss feel uncomfortable.

I loved Garrick's friends Rowland and Graham - sometimes no matter how distant you become from people, when you are back together it is like old times. They are just hilarious, but out to support Garrick, knowing what things would be like.

Like every relationship, Garrick and Bliss have bumps in the road, but it is what we do with those bumps that make or destroy relationships.

What does it do here? You will have to read it and find out

Fans of Cora's writing, especially G & B fans will love this novella it is short, only took me about an hour to read it, but getting more of the background of Garrick is well worth it.

I look forward to more.

Monday night has been 'Boy Catching Night" since freshman year for Jillian, Jess and Cassie. But it isn't much fun now that Jess and Cassie have "boyfriended up".

In a true role reversal from most books, Jillian is the 'catch and release' kinda girl, and they guys are disposable.

One night, Jillian catches more than she bargained for in sexy Scotsman, Liam McAvoy (can I say "swoon" I definitely have a thing for that Scottish accent). This could be why I connected with his character straight off the bat.

The next morning, Jillian wakes up to her worst nightmare - Liam is still there, in her kitchen, cooking waffles - naked!

And boy does the boy make a mean waffle!

I cut into the waffle and took a big bite. Butter. Syrup. Vanilla. Despite myself, I moaned.

“Somebody likes your waffles,” Jess said, smirking at me.

“I have a high proficiency in moan-inducing,” Liam said without missing a beat.

He sure does like to make them waffles a lot. Everytime it is mentioned, my mind automatically goes to Donkey from Shrek "In the morning, I'm making waffles!"

Damn, now I want waffles!!

Jillian - now her I had a harder time connecting with. I know she has been brow-beaten by her mother - there is no other word for Tara than that she is a bitch - and that she had been made to feel like nothing forever, but ugh -I don't know!

I adored Jillian's best friend Jess - smart, sassy, and she defends her friends however and whenever needed. There is also something behind Jess' relationship with one of her ex-Professors, I hope we find out more about it in Book 2 (Teaching Roman) out later this year.

I was cheering for Liam to get under Jillian's skin, stuck in her mind and into her heart right from the start.

Jillian also has a secret that only her parents and best friends know about, and she uses this to keep out of relationships.

This a quite a light hearted read, but it also delves into darker places and into how secrets can destroy relationships.

It is a book about lust, secrets, love, friendships and relationships.

I very much enjoyed Chasing Liam, and am certainly going to read more of this series.

Sophie Bleu, you had me at Scotsman!

Oh yeah, we also find out the answer to that age old question - what does a Scotsman wear under his kilt ;-)

I didn't know what to expect when I picked up this book - which I think is a good thing anyway.

After reading the blurb, it sounded like everything would happen while being detained in an interview room at an airport. So wrong - the story begins after they leave the airport!

Darcy Campbell is an ambitious reporter for a Sydney newspaper. She gets flown to Shanghai for the career break she needs - an exclusive interview with reclusive Australian billionaire, Will Parker.

Arriving in China, she is stopped at immigration for irregularlities with her visa, and is detained in a freezing room at Pudong Airport.

After a while, she has a fellow detainee. A sexy fellow Aussie. Darcy feels an instant attraction to the handsome stranger, and it seems the attraction is mutual.

To fill in the time, Darcy and the stranger start a game of Truth or Dare.

With no names given, Darcy and handsome stranger realise that they can be more truthful with each other than they have ever been before. Things get quite personal, and their attraction and bond gets stronger.

After finally being released, handsome stranger, whom she has nicknamed Tara after the town he grew up in, drops her off at her hotel and seemingly drives out of her life.

But they can't keep away from each other, and they spend a wonderful weekend together, enjoying the anonymity of the situation.

On Monday, Darcy goes to interview Will Parker - only to find out that the interview is cancelled, and that Tara is Mr Will Parker himself.

Darcy is furious, hurt and humiliated by Will. She also knows that his cancelling the interview has destroyed her career.

On returning to Sydney, Darcy runs a story with information she gathered in Shanghai, something that garners worldwide attention, and could ruin Will personally and professionally.

The article leads to things occurring to Will that he had dreaded all his life. But can things be fixed? For that, you are going to have to go buy Detained and find out!

Ainslie Paton had me run through a whole range of emotions - I laughed, I cried, I was afraid for the characters. This line particularly made me laugh (the Aussies amongst us will laugh with me).

"Darcy didn't do pretty. Pretty took time and consideration and while she was no bush pig Andy's favourite description of an unattractive woman, she'd rather be acknowledged for her thought patterns than her eye make up."

I loved Will - the way he walked away from his traumatic past to make himself into the man he is today -both the good and the bad. His love and the things he has done for his "brother" Pete - the only real family he has ever had - pulls at the heartstrings.

Darcy has a father and a brother who are more like colleagues or acquaintances. I for one think she would be better off without them at all. She has a heart of gold and works hard to correct the mistakes she makes in her life.

The interactions between Darcy and Will are sexy, sweet, funny, heartbreaking... their relationship is the epitome of the emotional rollercoaster.

I could not put this book down once I started reading, and was up till all hours of the morning finishing it!

I thoroughly enjoyed the ride Ainslie Paton took me on, and I am definitely going to read more of her work!

If you have not read Being Me - stop reading this now!!

Revealing Us follows directly on from Being Me. The day after Ava tries to kill Sara, Sara and Chris fly off to Paris, where Chris has business and charities, and Sara hopes to immerse herself in the artworld.

Once they land in Paris, their troubles begin - before they even leave the airport!

Sara is still searching for her best friend Ella who travelled to Paris to get married - and has not been heard of since.

We have found out that Ava has confessed to murdering Rebecca, and the police investigation is unfolding, but they have a lot of questions for Sara which is causing her no end of trouble.

I love how understanding Chris is of what Sara is going through, how stressful the murder investigation is, how much she feels like a fish out of water in Paris. Also everything he is doing to help find Ella. Can you say "swoon".

He spends as much time with her - sightseeing, helping her get her career off the ground. They might have visited the Louvre and seen the Mona Lisa.

Chris' past keeps coming back to haunt him, and taunt Sara. Ex lovers, friends, trouble makers. Sara keeps trying to let Chris know that she is not leaving, and he keeps trying to push her away. I feel that the struggles they have with their relationship only make it so much stronger in the end. Their bond is unbreakable, no matter how much circumstances or people try. Eventually, Chris does reveal is secret.

I loved Revealing Us, loved, how Sara and Chris' relationship goes through the ringer but comes out so much stronger than either of them ever thought. Lisa Renee Jones has written a wonderful series, and I want to read more - now!!

Oh, and can't forget the Epilogue - what a cliffy, had me all -WTF?!?!?

Is it a rule at the moment that the main female character HAS to be cheating, procrastinating and annoying???

ok I admit it, on the re-read she is not as annoying!

Now it could just be that I have had a run of these same sorts of female characters, or maybe they are all being written like this?

Other than this (and she did get less annoying about 2/3 of the way through) I loved the story. I am on a real rock star fix lately, and Jake did not disappoint.

Jake - hot, tattooed, totally in love with Tru - ticks all the boxes (except it shoulda been me instead of her lol!!)

A must read for any fictional rock star groupie slut like me!!!
