I vacillated between 3 and 4 stars for this read, so 3.5 it is.

I did enjoy our lovelies story once I got into it, however I did find that it was not holding my full attention and it did take me a few days to finish it. That is probably just going to be a me problem.

To me, Body of Trust was like a Mafia-Lite story. I have read and loved many mafia books these past few years, and they were darker and grittier than what I felt reading Body of Trust.

To me, I did like the romantic parts of the story, but it did not feel that suspenseful. I pretty much guessed what the leading man was up to in the first chapter or so. And to me I felt our leading lady was just a bit too naive about her family and the business they were in. And as for her mother - gah I just wanted to scream at her.

She did grow on me in the end though and her strengths did shine through.

I know it makes it sound like I didn't like this book, however that would be wrong. I did enjoy it in the end and was happy with where our lovelies ended up.

I will admit, I wasn't sure how I was going to feel about a f/f story from Ms Mitchell.

I love m/m tales, but haven't gotten into female gay romance.

I shouldn't have worried. Double Breasted is a quick, sweet read that I enjoyed.

I didn't feel very connected to Willow and Teddy, and there were so many characters that I wasn't sure if I should remember them out not.

But that could just be me.

I look forward to more stories from Ms Mitchell

We're back in Magnolia and at Waylon U - woohoo!

I am starting to shy away a little from college aged romances - nothing against the books, it is just that I am an old fart and it is a bit pervy lusting after 21 year old boys lol

Also, I know nothing about American football - other than it takes about 42 hours to play a game!
However, there are some authors that I will pick up no matter the age of the characters, and Ilsa Madden-Mills is one of them.

Each time I think that nope, this is definitely my favourite IMM book, she releases a new one and I am all "this is definitely my favourite in the series". And I did that again with I Promise You.

I adored Serena and Dillon. I have read plenty of Uni-aged stories, however this series are up the top of my favourites list.

I could feel the big "thing" that happens in this book a mile away, however I did like how the characters dealt with it.

I mean, Waylon U legend says they have to be together, right?

This is heartwarming, at times heart breaking story that kept me wrapt the whole time I was reading it.

I look forward to what Ms Madden-Mills brings us in the future.

Ever since I read Tru Blue all those years ago, I have been waiting for Quincy Gritty's story. Tru Blue is still my favourite Melissa Foster book - ever I was disappointed with The Gritty Truth.

Throughout the Whiskey series, we have learned little bits about Quincy, though we have always learned things from Truman or others POV. Now we have the whole shebang from Quincy's story, and, as I knew it would be, it was heartbreaking and beatiful and sad - and hopeful.

Both Quincy and Roni have had a crappy time in the past, and it was wonderful to see them pull each other through. They are each other's anchor in a turbulent world.

I loved the honesty of this story. Quincy hides nothing, owns his mistakes, and is the kind of person all of us should aspire to be like. He is full of love. Oh boy, did he make my heart swell at times.

I liked how our lovelies didn't just fall into bed. They have a slow burn of a relationship, that only bursts into flame when they really, really know each other. Roni's strength shines through as the story progresses.

I love, love, loved getting more of my man Truman Gritt, along with his family, and the extended family of Peaceful Harbor.

There is one thing though - and I feel that this is more my thing with Ms Foster's books and it probably does not bother any one else - the past few books, including The Gritty Truth - get to a stage in the story where the leading characters are just cruising, and it feels like it is just filler. Our characters are in their happy and just living life. Nothing wrong with that, however I feel that we could probably have about 10% of the book cut and it would be just as enjoyable. Again, this is just my musings, my thing.

I am looking forward to more in these worlds.

I am hooked on true crimes, and with the Golden State Killer again recently again being in the news, it was time for me to finally read/listen to this book.

Whilst I liked it for the most part, it was also a lot about Michelle -I get it, she studied this case for many years, but it was a lot of "I this, I that" rather that about the case a lot of the time.

I am sorry though that she didn't live to see the day he was arrested and sentenced.

I liked the narration a lot. She brought the case to life with her reading.

I do have the series lined up ready to watch on Netflix, so I guess that will be my next step in this story and case.

This book was talked about in one of my groups shop I had to puck it up.

Fun gfy/didn't know I was gay, best friends to lovers story that I didn't think I would really enjoy but found myself laughing at times and just needing a HEA for Declan and Heath.

I will be going back to read pr evuous books in the series.

Totally adorable story that I devoured in one sitting.

Brent and Logan were too cute

This is my first book from this author, and she had me at tattooed bad boy.

Carter and Danni have chemistry coming out the wazoo, but boy does she fight it.

In fact, I said to others more than once as I was listening that Danni was a bipolar, raging bitch for a bit part of the story. And I did scream at my speakers for Carter to run run run just as fast as he can, away from Danni.

However, she did get better in the last say 30% of the story. And I didn't want to strangle her haha.

I hadn't read the first book so I was a bit behind with the relationships that were happening before, but that didn't affect my enjoyment of Carter and Danni's tale.

I loved Shane East's narration - he had that Danny Dyer, rough gruff voice down pat. and was perfect for our Carter.

Stella Hunter was great telling the tale, but, and this just might be me, it felt at times that her accent was a cross between English and American? It felt confused to me. But again, that might just be me.

I was drawn into this story - who doesn't love a drunken wedding in Vegas story?

Trick You was an enjoyable, if not at times frustrating listen, and I would like to hear more in the future.

Woot woot! Happy dance! Daggy dance! Heck, anything that can show my excitement at being back in the Stage Dive world!

I love these 1001 Nights stories. I love that I get a bit more of the Stage Dive family (let's be honest, any slice of Mal that I can get, I will take) however I love that we are introduced to the extended family of the Stage Dive world, and that I can read these as stand alones if I wanted to.

We have met Adam in passing in previous books, but it was great to get to know him better.

And gah, this was a story that I didn't know that I needed, but I am so glad that Ms Scott decided to gift us with it.

Adam and Jill's story is sad, and sweet, and sexy and hot. It is a bit of a rollercoaster really, and I went from not liking Adam to adoring him. I could completely feel Jill's uneasiness at how things are now, and don't blame her for being cautious when it comes to Adam as he is today.

But - rockstars: whatcha gonna do? I love love loved seeing more of the Stage Dive ladies, and of course my drummer-love Mal.

I could read a new story about Stage Dive every day and never get sick of it.

I hope we get more int he future.

Yes! Finally the story I have been waiting for since I started reading the Brooklyn Bruisers series.

And it was everything and more than I could have asked for.

I loved that we got to see how they first met, how their friendship grew over the years, how these friends became lovers.

Sweet and adorable, you just can't help but get swept away with them as the story. I loved that Nate finally got up the courage to chase the girl, go for what he wanted, make her admit that she wanted it too.

There are some great secondary character, some road blocks that our lovelies need to overcome, but no OTT drama.

I need more of this series ASAP
