This is Clare Whitfield's debut novel, and it is one that I enjoyed.

I love true crime, and I have been fascinated by Jack The Ripper for many years now.

People of Abandoned Character is a warts and all story of life in Victorian England, the slums of London and the people who live there.

I liked how we are taken on one woman's journey and the questions she asks about her husband.

Is he Jack The Ripper?

I am sure many wived/girfriends/friends/family wondered this at the time and for many years afterwards.

Susannah draws us into her story, with all the twists and turns. It had me wondering many a time about people around her.

I did find the first half a little bit slow, however the second half is a belter of a story. I was on the edge of my couch as I read the second half.

Ms Whitfield has written a story that flows well and keep the reader wondering.

I look forward to more of her words in the future.

I have had this book on my reader forever, but with work and blogging, I have not had as much time to read for myself as I would like.

What a surprise Fluffy is. After readingsome darker, serial killer type stories, I needed something light and "fluffy"

I was groaning "oh noooo, don't do it" as Mallory takes the Craigslist job. I mean seriously, who equates "fluffer" with house staging? Yeah, me neither.

And we have all dealt with bullies/mean girls at some stage. Most of us grow up. Some stay the horrible people they were in high school forever.

I wanted to love Mallory and Will, and at times I did. But a lot of the time they frustrated the heck out of me.

There were times I just wanted to crawl into the book and give them a piece of my mind. They just really didn't have much depth most of the time. And I don't know whether I would call most of the people around their friends. I could kind of sort of deal with Mallory's friends but those Will surrounds himself with, nuh uh.

This might just be me though, as it seems everyone else really liked them.

Do I like it enough to read the next 2 books? Maybe. Time will tell

With my beloved Canes out of the Cup finals (sad face) I am having to get all my hockey love from my books.

And hockey and dogs? Let me at it!

Lilly and Easton's story is just cute from word one to the last. An if the hockey hottie isn't enough to keep you keen, then add some adorable pooches, and if you are like me, you will find yourself smiling throughout.

It's been a while since I have read a hockey book by Ms Jamieson, however I knew what I was going to get a cocky player and a feisty leading lady. And she did not disappoint.

I am looking forward to more of the Bears in the future. Please don't make me wait too long.

I adore everything I have read by Jill Shalvis, however this novella isn't one of my favourites.

Hannah and James are stuck together for Christmas, and whilst I would normally love this, something about this one just didn't do it for me.

I think it is the fact that I disliked a secondary character more than I could get into the story with our lovelies.

I know, it sounds stupid, but this characters was just so ugh to me I couldn't get them out of my head when I was reading the main story. Sorry Ms Shavis, I know this will just be me!

I adored Hannah and James finding their way back to each other though.

And as much as I love a Christmas story full of snow and all that goes with it, it was nice for this Aussie to have a Christmas story set in the heat! Oh, and there is plenty of heat between our lovelies too.

I know I will be in the minority here not loving Mistletoe In Paradise, however I did like it, just not as much as other books by this author.

Batter up! A new Tara Sivec book has arrived on my Kindle and now itis time for Wren to get her HEA.

I liked the first book, Kiss My Putt however I love Swing and a Mishap.

From the messaging sweetness to the end of the story, I did not want to stop reading once I picked it up - stupid life gettingin he way of reading!

Shepherd and Wren are just too cute. You can feel their attraction and frustration and cuteness leap off the page. Shepherd is all kinds of swoonworthy. He comes back to town and worms his way into Wren's heart. And mine. I loved that the more we learn of their pasts, the more I need them to be together. The banter goes from cute and sweet to hot and steamy in the blink of an eye, and I loved not knowing what kind of conversation we were going to get next.

Oh, and don't let me forget how great Shepherd is with Wren's kid. Ovaries gone BOOM!

I love, love love Wren's family and friends. They are goals. I adored getting more of Birdlei/Palmer and Bodhi/Tess, and now I am impatiently awaiting Emily's story.

I can't wait to get back to Summersweet Island.
