Now that my beloved Canes are out of the Cup finals, I need to get my hockey fix through my books.
And Ms Bennett's hockey hotties are some of the best out there.
I love all a friends-to-lovers story, and when besties Kane and Mollie take that step it is all very cute, and maybe this is just my thing, but maybe things were just a little toooo easy? Gah, who know what I am thinking. I know they have known each other for a decade so that takes out all the getting to know you stage of dating, so who knows what I really wanted lol
We do have a couple of bits of drama throughout their tale, so it isn't all easy peasy for them. But they are so cute and lovely and adorable.
I adored getting more of the couples from the previous books in the series. The whole Vengeance crew are one big happy family, and I love the way they are there for each other.
Also, fingers crossed, we got a little bit of set up for Braden's story? Oh please, I need to know more there.
I love that there are always comings and goings to the team, so I want this series to go on forever and ever.
Please make this happen Ms Bennett!

You know when you pick up a JP book you are going to get a heartfelt, wonderful story that you are going to fall in love with.
However, I have renamed this story "Frustration on Ocean Drive". Because oh my lord, did our leading lady Bella frustrate the heck out of me - and our gorgeous leading man, Gabe.
We have met them both already - Bella is one of the Sunshine sisters, and Gabe is Avery's assistant - and in my opinion, way to good for Bella.
Yes, I understand Bella has her reasons, but FFS woman, he is laying his heart at your feet and you keep trampling on it. I want to hit you over the head with my Kinde... and then come and steal Gabe from you all for myself.
I love the interactions and banter between the Sunshine girls. I adore getting more of Carter and Lucy, and man, my heart also belongs to a little girl called Zoe.
It was a journey, but man it was good for our lovelies to finally get to their HEA.
I am looking forward to Taylor's story in the future.

If you had told me 25 years/50 books ago that I would be loving book 51 in a series as much as I loved book 1, I would have laughed at you.
So many series I have read have fallen away as the number of books in the series has risen, however to me that is definitely not the case with the In Death series.
I am as eager for book 51 as I was picking up book 1.
JD Robb/Nora Roberts had me at the first "Darling Eve". Sigh... oh Roarke how I love you.
This installment went a little different to normal - the main murder is solved quite quickly, and we are left on the trail of someone from Roarke's past who has come to the present day to cause trouble.
It was great delving more into events from the enigmatic Roarke's past. I adore the way Roarke and his Eve work together, and this time I felt there was a lot more emotion between them, the worry they have for each other, the love they have for each other.
It was also great the way Eve and Roarke's worlds work together. It was like we got to see a bit of everybody at the precinct working together.
And I love the way Eve and Summerset's relationship has grown to where it is now.
Gah, I just love everything about this book.
Now I need to go find a Roarke of my own, as I am sure Dallas won't give up hers.
I can't wait for book 52!

Last year, Well Met was one of those books that completely took my by surprise with how much I enjoyed it. I immediately put Well Played on my TBR list and was very happy to receive an advanced copy.
And while I liked Well Played, it didn't wow me as much as the first book.
I liked Stacey, I adored her love of Ren Faire and how she throw herself right into everything about it.
I liked Daniel for the most part, however I hated how he kept things from her, and spent most of the first half of the book waiting for the other shoe to drop.
I also didn't really feel the romance between Stacey and Daniel. I felt more through the correspondence than when they were together. To me, it kind of felt forced between them.
I did like getting more of Simon and Emily from Well Met, and will I read Well Matched? I certainly will!
I look forward to Mitch and April's faire tale.

You know how it is with TV show - you get to the very last episode and they bring back all the characters for a reunion epiaode?
That's what Blades Of Glory felt like.
It was like being wrapped up in a big fat family group hug.

Woah woah woah woah woah!!
I have been enjoying this series very much and enjoyed this visit back to Estes Park.
Fred, Watson and the Scooby Gang are back on the case, hu ting murderers, solving crimes.
I love the family that Fred has created for herself, and adore how they have each others back.
Then, all of a sudden - Wtf just happened?
Something happened that is a complete game changer. I am shooketh! I was completely blindsided by events.
And now I need to know that that is not how things are going to be from now on.
Thank goodness I can move straight onto the next book

I have read a few Donna Grant books however I have not the first in this Heart of Texas series.
I feel that I probably would have connected a bit more with this one if I had read the first book, even though this is a pretty good stand alone.
I was expecting a girl being swept away by a cowboy romance, however Cowboy, Cross My Heart was more of a suspensey mystery story with a dash of romance thrown in for good measure.
I didn't really feel the thing between Naomi and Brice - probably because there was so much else going on around them. I did like them, I liked most of the characters, I just didn't feel the love between them - but that's probably just me.
I liked Brice's brother and sister and their families and friends, they make up a lovely family group.
So whilst I didn't love Cowboy, Cross My Heart, I did like it and I will go back and read the first book before diving into the 3rd.

Through the earlier books in this series (which you don't need to read to love this one), Sam has been a bit of an enigma to me. I adored him, but knew there was something more to him.
Trust In Me was full of surprises. As things were revealed, there was more than once that i said "I was not expecting that!".
Sam was just everything I wanted him to be. My heart went out to him and I adore Theron. His sensitivity and care when it came to Sam is what we all need in a partner.
I am looking forward to more of The Lodge in the future.
