Jay McLean has done it again with this first in the Preston Brother serie
We met Lucas Preston in More Than series – he is Drunk Lucy’s brother. Now we are getting his whole story… and it is so much more.
Ms McLean is one of those authors who creates a world where you just have to give up whatever you are doing and dive into the deep end of her stories. Once you start one of her stories, if you are like me you are up till all hours of the morning, completely engrossed in the story.
Lucas and Lois’ story begins when they are 11 years old and is told in dual POV and in past and present tense.
Lucas is the eldest of the 5 Preston boys, so he has always had a fair share of familial responsibility thrust upon him at a young age. When Lois, or Laney as she is nicknamed, comes into his life, his whole family welcomes her into the fold with open arms.
Their story from that day onward is sweet, it is tender, it is beautiful, and it is heartbreaking.
Word to the wise – do not try to sneak a chapter or two in when you are working, as you will have to explain the blotchy face and red eyes (I blamed mine on hayfever/allergies!!)
I love a friends to lovers story. The change from childhood to adulthood was not easy on this pair’s relationship, and whilst they are both adorable and endearing, at times I was frustrated with one, the other or both of them as they made their way into the big bad world.
From the first word to the last, I was completely engaged with the characters in Lucas, and at the end I was left wanting more. So much more.
I can’t wait to see what Ms McLean brings us next.

Thoroughly enjoyable historical m/m story.
Ben just made me want to smile all the time, and seeing Phillip's relationship with both his children and Ben was a joy.
As always, Joel Leslie gives a wonderful performance

I am new to the Jack McEvoy series, however this did not affect my reading or enjoyment of Fair Warning at all. And I will now be going back to read the first two books in this series.
When Jack is questioned about the murder of a one night hook up, so begins his foray into investigating a potenial serial killer.
I was drawn into this story right from the start. I have always been wary of things that are looed at in this book, and now I am even more sure that I would never ever use certain services that are out there.
When I found out that the character Myron Levin, and the publication Fair Warning were real entities, that just made me like it even more.
I loved the relationships in this story - the good, the bad and the ugly.
Reading Fair Warning had made me realise how much I have missed reading a Connelly story, and I will be heading to my bookshelves to pull some out to read.
I hope we get more Jack McEvoy in the future.

I was hooked on this story right from the start.
Emily and Louis' story is not always an easy one. There were times when I wanted to nut punch Louis and then drown him in his pool for being such an ar$e, however he was a lovable ar$3hole.
I loved that Emily didn't put up with his BS, and could set him on his butt with only a look. The sass is strong in this one, and it made me love her more.
This is an emotional story, it was smart, it was funny, it was loving.
There are some horrible secondary characters that I couldn't wait to see them get what they deserved, however there was some wonderful ones as well. I need to know more about Loius' brother and about Emily's friends.
Hopefully we will get more stories about these people in the future. Please Ms Low, make it happen!

Wow, for a story written in a day this was something else.
Luca and Lilly's story is short, hot, sweet and sexy, and goes to show you never know what fate has planned for us.
I adore Lilly and her sister's bond, and couldn't help but swoon at Luca.
Great little short that will put a smile on your dial.

Yassss! More Axel and Olivia!
After Suddenly Bound, I was left wanting. Wanting more of Axel and Olivia. And this novella was just the thing.
I ran the whole gamut of emotions whilst reading this sweet and sexy story. Those Dirty Texas boys sure do know how to woo a lady - and I would love for them to woo me!
I was also happy to see Olivia's sister redeem herself a bit. If you haven't read Suddenly Bound, I don't want to ruin anything, but she really was a piece of work.
I loved seeing more of the rest of the boys, and oooh I cannot wait for Finn's story.
Bring it on, Ms Low!

I always knew from the other books that Isla (I love this name. It was my Nan's name and much underused!) and Finn's story was a complicated one, however, Suddenly Trouble was so, so much more than I had pictured in my head.
I have always wanted this pair to be together as this series has progressed, and we are taken on quite a journey to get here today.
I mean, what an

we are taken on.
I loved that we got past and present views of Finn, Isla and the Dirty Texas boys. It was amusing seeing their teenage, horny selves .
I won't lie, I had a bit of a love/hate relationship with Finn throughout this book. I mean, he says he wants Isla but then does things that make me want to throw my Kindle at his head! I loved him, but like Isla, I didn't like him at times.
As much as I wanted our lovelies to be together all the time, their relationship was at times I felt toxic and I was glad they were apart. They needed the time apart to really be together if that makes sense?
I also adored seeing the other DT guys and their gals.
I ran the whole gamut of emotions as this story of family, evolving relationships, of love (in all its forms)
I love the Isla finally kicks the DT boys to the kerb to go out on her own work wise. I mean, I know we would all love to be surrounded by rock stars all the time, but she needed more.
To me, this is the best of the Dirty Texas stories -I mean, I have adored them all, but this one just had that little more. I laughed, I cried, I got frustrated and I got angry. But in the end I got my HEA!
Ms Low has made these characters feel like part of my family and I am going to miss them when they are gone!

Another adorable installment in the Cozy Corgi series. I am again reminded not to ever visit Estes Park - their murder rate is way too high for my liking lol.
Quarellsome Quartz hits a lot closer to home for Fred and Watson than normal. I liked the way the family circled the wagons and were full of so much belief in each other. It was a bit more emotional than the other books in the series so far.
Angie Hickson has given another superb narration. Listening to each book is like coming home, you know you are going to get drama, but also a lot of comfort.

Woah. Just.. woah.
From the minute I picked up The Suicide House, I could not put it down.
It is a fascinating, gripping tale of murder, suicide (or is it) and the hunt for what really happened that night a year ago.
There were so many holy moly and WTF moments in this tale. As I turned each page, I was sure I knew what had happened. And each time, Charlie Donlea had left me on another wild goose chase, and left me scratching my head. Until again I thought I knew whodunnit.
I did have an inkling late in the story as to who it was, but not the full tale. I had no idea of motives or the whys of it all.
I was buddy reading this story, so my friend and I were constantly messaging each other with our thoughts on what was happening
In fact, at one stage I did say that one part had an I Know What You Did Last Summer vibe lol
Slowly but surely, Donlea pulled all the strings together, and this story came around full circle, the intriguing and horrible prologue now making sense.
I am new to Charlie Donlea's writing, so I did not know our main characters at all, but that did not affect anything. It has left me wanting more of Rory and Lane, and the end of this story has left me with the hopes of many, many more mysteries for me to solve.
I now also have a fantastic looking back catalogue to look up.

I love a friends to lovers story. Even more so when it is best friends finding love with each other
Ben and Spence's road to love is a rocky one. So much hurt in the past, only bringing them closer together. We get both of their POVs as the story progresses.
I laughed with them, I got angry with them, I cried with them.
There are plenty of bumps and scrapes on the way to their forever. I was completely drawn into our lovelies story, and as much as I needed to get to the end, I didn't want their story to end.
Wonderful secondary characters, a story that left me smiling.
