This was my first Lee Goldberg read, however it won't be my last.

Ludlow. Ian Ludlow. Writes about spies, and now he has been drawn into a real life CIA operation.

What a fun and fantasic ride Killer Thriller was. It does kind of carry on from the first book by the looks of it, however that did not affect my reading of Killer Thriller, as we are given enough background information to get us up to speed.

I love his "partner" Margo. OMG she had me in tears of laughter at times. She was completely unexpected.

I have to say, Ian made the professionals look like idiots at times - and I liked it haha. Sucked in you smug bastards!

You never knew where the next pages of this story was going to take you, and even though you kind of knew how the story was going to end, I couldn't wait to turn each page.

I now need to go back and read the first book, and can't wait to see where this series goes next.

I really enjoyed this second book, loved watching Andrew and Spencer's relationship develop into more.

I am intrigued by Yanni's story, and can't wait to get to that book.

Forget watching Making A Murderer - read Southern Justice instead!

Over the past year, I have been reading articles and hearing about the case of Sue Neill-Fraser and her conviction for murdering her partner Bob Chappell.

I have read articles about her conviction, and about how an innocent woman has probably been put behind bars for 23 years.

What I have read previously is so, so much less than what has really happened to this woman.

I had such a visceral reaction as I was reading. I was gripping the book so hard as I turned each page, getting more angry, more upset and more frustrated with what these so called police officers and prosecutors have done to not only Ms Neill-Fraser, but to the people who were doing their own investigation.

Gah, even writing this review I am getting frustrated again.

What I really liked about this book was the writing. Often when you read true crime books, the writing is very dry and hard to get into the story, hard to read. This was so not the case with Southern Justice.

I was drawn right into the unbelievable, yet sadly true story. I felt i was there with the writer as he was investigating.

I hope, that with the TV documentary Undercurrent now showing, and the more media attention this case receives, that something can be done to see justice served.

I have such terrible bookzheimer's that I didn't realise this book was part of the Heart of Texas series until I started reading and remembered reading the other two books - derp!

Caleb has been the hold out of these Texas boys, and I knew it was going to take some kind of extraordinary woman to take him off the market.

Audrey got me from the start (though I don't understand her love of horses - they are the beasts of satan lol).

I loved being taken along with Caleb and Audrey as they fight their feelings for each other, and as they fight the person/s who have it out for her.

It was great to get more of Clayton/Abby and Brice/Naomi. I love how strong their familial bonds.

I wanted to slap both Caleb and Audrey with my kindle at times to get some sense into their heads, however I knew they would get their crap together in the end.

I enjoy Donna Grant's writing style. I always feel that I am in the book with the characters rather than an outsider looking in. She drew me into life on the ranch, and kind of made me want to get on a plane and go visit.

I look forward to what Ms Grant brings us next.

If you have read the previous duets, you will have already met our main man Dylan - the London partner in the business.

Sweet Liar is short, hot and sexy. It does have a bit of Lolita-esque feel to it - though there is nothing illegal going on, it is just the rather large age difference that gives it that feel.

I love the spark between Dylan and Audrey. He tries to fight the attraction. She tries to push him out of his comfort zone. As wrong as they really are for each other, they are so, so right.

You know that things aren't going to be easy for them, and I loved watching the push/pull between them - the push particularly from Dylan. He's such a grump, but I can't help adoring him also.

This was a very short read, and I kind of wish that we had gotten both parts of the duet as one story. However we don't have too long to wait before the conclusion so I guess there is that.

I am impatiently awaiting part 2 now.

Woohoo, time for another Roarkegasm!

You would think that after 47 books in a series that I would be getting sick of the In Death series - but I am as hooked today as I was when I first started this series.

I love diving back into the world of Dallas and Roarke and the crew at NYPSD.

This time we have a suicide that is not a suicide, and Dallas is on the case. Whilst this time the mystery was not as strong as in other books in the series (I had a pretty good idea pretty early on who the culprit was) I still loved being taken along for the ride as Dallas, Peabody and her crew nutted it out.

And sigh - I fall more in love with Roarke and his darling Eve every book. I love the nuances of their relationship, as it evolves into even more each book.

I was completely engaged in this story, anxious to turn each page to find out where the story would take me next.

And now I am impatiently awaiting for more.

I. Need. More.

This is my first Monica James book - I have others on my kindle and just haven't gotten around to reading them yet.

I can't lie, the first 25% of this book was hard for me to get through. It wasn't the story per se, it was the characters that I just couldn't get on board with. I knew why> our leading man was doing what he was doing, but man, I just wanted to clip him around the ears and tell him he was being stupid by doing what he was doing.

And don't get me started on one of the ladies of the story. What a spoilt brat!

However, once we got past that point in the story it got a lot better for me.

I adore Jayden and Carrie as their story progresses. I laughed, I got frustrated, but most of all I wanted them to find their HEA.

Quirky, fun and flirty, I think this one was more of "it's not you, it's me". It's not that I didn't like it, I just didn't love it.

I do look forward to reading more of Ms James in the future.

When I picked up this book, I was not aware that it was connected to Esther Campion's first book, Leaving Ocean Road, so that was a pleasant surprise.

Back in Ireland, Ellen's (from Ocean Road) brother is a bit curmudgeonly and has become an expert at keeping people out of his life.

Colette has had a crappy time of things lately, and throws herself into her work.

When they are thrown together on a job, neither of them is looking for anything other than getting a house renovated. But what they got was so much more.

Their "relationship" is one of begrudging acceptance, to friendship, to more. It is a slow burn of a story, and I could feel their attraction and emotions leap off the page

Ms Campion has brought us wonderful characters. Colette and Aidan are so wonderful, but the secondary characters just bring this story so, so much, and show our lovelies that there is more out there for them if they are willing to open their hearts again.

Beautiful writing drew me right into the scenes. It was wonderful be back in Australia and Ocean Road, where we also get little snippits of Ellen's life after that book ended.

Trials, tribulations, a bit of heartbreak along the way. Ms Campion swept me up in this story, and I didn't want it any other way.

I can't wait to see what Ms Campion brings us next.

Woohooooo we are back in Elle Kennedy's hockey hottie world, and I couldn't be happier! It seems an age since we have been here!

Welcome to Brenna and Jake's story. It is kind of like the Montague and Capulet fued all over again. They are from opposing universities, opposing teams and their team coaches have a hatred for each other for the ages.

But that doesn't stop them from embarking on a relationship. And oh how I love them together.

This story is full of witty, funny banter, snark (oh my, the snark is strong in this pair) and most of all, undeniable attraction. These two need to be together soooooo much.

This book also dealt with some deeper issues, and I may or may not have shed a tear or two as I was reading.

I loved getting more of Summer and Fitzy and the guys from Briar U hockey. I was in fits of laughter at times with some of their antics.

Gah,I just love them all. I want more books right now. No, I neeeeed them.

I just adored everything about The Risk. Now I need to go back and reread The Chase so I can love it again.
