I have terrible bookzheimers's so I had forgotten what happened at the end of the first part of this duet - however it didn't take me long to remember where the story was going.
After their marriage, when things should be starting to settle down and their sham relationship is becoming real - spanners are thrown in the works and life is not going to be as easy as they thought it might.
Oh, how I love the sexual tension between Elizabeth and Weston. And ooh la laaa those sexy times 🔥🔥
But ugh - why didn't they talk things out when they happen? We all know that this non-communicado thing always causes issues, and I wanted to slap some sense into Weston!
A character that I didn't particularly like in the first part of the duet I came round to liking - I guess all is not as it seems at times.
Our lovelies do really fight for the HEA, and I for one was glad to be taken on that journey with them.
I can't wait to see what Ms Paige brings us next.

If you have read the previous First Wives book, you will remember the incident with Avery and how it changed her life. Though these can be read as stand alones, they are all intertwined so you will miss some things if you haven't read the previous two stories.
Now a year past the attack, she is still looking over her shoulder. What she doesn't expect to find over there is love.
Oh My Liam <3 He is just all kinds of lovable right from the start. As much as Liam is attracted to Avery, he is as much a support system for her as a love interest. He is sweet and tender and charming - not to mention hot as!
Out of all the First Wives books, to me this one is the best. The depth, the emotion, I just felt it more with this installment.
I loved seeing more of Lori, Trina and Shannon, as their lives are all woven together.
I laughed, I cried a little, but most of all, along with Avery I felt her hope. Hope for a new beginning. For love. For forever.
Go buy Chasing Shadows, but find your own Liam as I have claimed this one!

This is my first Nic Starr read, and I can guarantee you that it won't be my last.
Bailey and Tom's story is sweet and beautiful and full of hope. We have all had those times when life keeps kicking us when we are down, and we can only hope to find someone like they did to lift them back up.
I loved that even though they came from such different backgrounds, they really do fit each other.
The middle did drag a little bit for me, however it did not stop me from reading. And the last 25% of the story was wonderful.
Friendships play a big part in this story, and in our lovelies lives. I loved Tom's friends from the minute they walked in the door of his coffee shop, and I love love loved how they were trying to get him to accept their help. I understood why he was reluctant, but I wanted to shake him and say "let them help".
I was away from home whilst I was reading this book, and I have to tell you, I became very anti-social as I sat with friends, Kindle in hand, as I needed to know where this story would lead me.
A big thing that I loved about this story is the location. Being set in my home town of Sydney just makes it so much enjoyable to read (especially when they are going to watch my beloved Swans play).
I was totally enamoured with this story, and I can't wait to see where this series takes us in the future.

I really liked and was drawn to Bryce whilst I was reading the first book, Austin.
I completely loved him by the end of Bryce.
This story is on the same time line as Austin, so you can read this without reading the first book
Bryce Sexton is all kinds of swoonworthy. It was great to get to the man behind the suit (and oh my, what a man behind that suit!). He came across as a bit cold in the first book, but all we saw was the business man.
Now he has met Tessa, the one woman who doesn't fall at his feet or into his bed. She is snarky and sassy and her "baggage" is wonderful (I don't want to give anything away but you will love it!)
So many times in this story, more than the first book, I wanted to throw my kindle across the room as the Sexton brothers' nemesis raised their ugly, vile head. Oh man, I cannot wait to see them come a cropper!
I really enjoyed watching our lovelies fall for each other, as well as seeing Austin and Jalynn's story from a different persepective.
We have had teases of the third Sexton brother Tanner, and we have a great set up for his book.
I can't wait to see where his story takes us.

One of my friends (who is trying to send me broke with all her book and audible recommendations) was listening to this one and her updates had me chomping at the bit to read/listen to this series.
I am hooked. I loved Cronin and Alec, I loved the way vampires were used as big players in world history.
On to book 2, pronto.

I was completely satisfied with the way the trio of books for Robbie, Julien and Priest ended, so this new book is a wonderful addition to their story.
From the minute we first met Robbie way back in Try, he very quickly became one of my favourite characters ever. With Julien and Priest, their story is just parfait. It was wonderful to see them after they had gone through all their trials and tribulations, to see them living their HEA.
And then just when I thought this story couldn't get any better, Ms Frank proved me wrong.
I don't want to give anything away about what happens, but let's just say that the next day I am still smiling like a loon.
I am going to miss my guys, but I can't wait to see what Ms Frank brings us next.

Firstly, I freaking love this cover, and the great image it gives me for Robbie.
I have been impatiently awaiting for the Confessions: Robbie since I read True.
You won't need to have read the Temptation series to read Robbie, but why would you want to miss out on Logan and Tate and Robbie?
I have adored Robbie since he first turned up in Try. And all through the Temptation series, I have been hoping for him to get his HEA. He deserves is so much, and now he might finally be getting it.
Ms Frank had me on an emotional roller coaster right from the start. My heart hurt for Robbie as things transpired early, and I felt all the ups and downs (not those ones! But yeah, those ones too!!) right till the end of the book.
I wasn't sure if I was going to like Priest and Julien after what I knew of them. But I couldn't help but adore them, as they adored Robbie. Sweet, tender, sexy and oh so hot! 3 sexy as sin men together?

The UST between this trio seeps off the pages, I love that this is kind of a slow burn between them all. It gives that tension time to build up, and you just know that things are going to be explosive.
So who will win out in the dominant stakes when it comes to Robbie?
You need to read to find out!
I can't wait for Confessions Part 2 - is it May yet?

I was almost peeing myself with laughter with our lovelies meet cute in 4th and Girl (you will understand when you have read this book why).
After the dark read I had just finished, this light, fun and adorable story was just what I needed.
Max Monroe have not disappointed me yet with their stories, and Leo and Gemma's story was all kinds of cute and adorable and funny.
I liked that Leo wasn't all about the football, loved that he had his head on straight and was thinking about the "what ifs" of his career and was also doing something about it.
Gemma - I felt for her as she was kind of floundering in life, however I got frustrated with her as I wanted her to push herself and not worry about what her family would think. I was all "girl, you say you are an adult and can make your own decisions, but you aren't"
Also, I want to be Alma when I grow up - don't want to spoil anything but lord that woman is funny!
I loved that this was drama free - no OTT, stupid actions or miscommunications. Our lovelies are adults and acted like it.
I didn't want the Mavericks series to come to an end, but now that leaves more time for Max and Monroe to write us new guys to fall in love with.

What a captivating story is Captured.
Right from the start, I knew I was going to enjoy this book.
Sunny and Seth's story is not always an easy one, as we learn more of their pasts your heart will hurt, especially for Sunny.
It is dramatic, entertaining and most of all, fully of hope. Sunny has been looking over her shoulder for years, and as a reader you just want her to finally find some peace.
There is something that Seth is hiding, and as a reader I was just waiting for the shoe to drop and how our lovelies would deal with it (which they did like adults, woohoo!)
I loved the Scottish setting, and wonderful characters that I am looking forward to more of in the future.

It is always a good day when a new Kim Karr story turns up on your kindle.
Now, I don't even like wine, however I love book set in wine country (I think it because i am thinking of the cheese and cracker platters they always have at wine tastings - because mmm cheese!)
Tyler and Paris have a history that has lead them to not so much like each other in the present. I love a good second chance, I-want-you-but-don't-like-you, hate f*&king kinda story.
You can still feel the pull between between Tyler and Paris, and as much as they try to ignore it, nope, not going to happen.
I got frustrated at the pair of them, just wanted them to stop fighting it, however I knew that was never going to happen.
I am impatient to find out what happened when they were teenagers to make them have all this animosity towards each other.
I mean, the Montagues and Capulets have nothing on this family feud.
We are left on a little bit of a cliffy however it is only 2 weeks until part 2 is released, and only another 2 week until part 3.
I wouldn't say no to Ms Karr releasing them early - just sayin'!
