I love bit of rom-com. I love everything I have read by Samantha Young. Samantha Young gives me a rom-com? Woo hoo!

And one with a Hot Scot? Swoon!

Right from the get go, I was hooked on Fight Or Flight. Oh, the antaganism between Caleb and Ava, what amazing foreplay! As much as Caleb made me made on Ava's behalf, I couldn't help but love the man 😍😍😍

I lost count of how many times I laughed out loud at his OTT rudeness.

However, what I wasn't expecting was so much emotion. Yes, this is a romcom, however the story delved into some highly emotional events, and I am not going to lie, I did shed a tear or few at times.

We have some ab fab secondary characters. Ava's best friend Harper is the kind of besty we all need in our lives. She needs a story of her own

And I hope that we get more of Caleb's siblings stories - especially Jamie (another hot scot called Jamie? let me at him!)

I thoroughly enjoyed Fight Or Flight, and I can't wait to see what Ms Young brings us next.

This is my first read by Anita Hughes, and whilst I liked it, I didn't love it.

I could almost hear that Robin guy who was the voice-over man for "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" as I was reading. It was kind of hard to connect when every single person was uber-successful and beautiful - no plain Jane office workers in this one - but this could just be me.

I loved the setting of St Moritz, and snow at Christmas time is just something we see on TV in this part of the world.

My main issue was that for the most part, the characters felt very immature. The parents of one lady - omg what a pair or selfish, well, you don't want to know the words I have for them. I have seen 3 years olds behaving better than them!

I also felt that maybe there was too much trying to happen? Too many storylines fighting for space in the one book. Sometimes less is more, and to me, it would have been the case in this one.

I know this sounds like I didn't like this book, but I did. When I wasn't wanting to reach into the book and hit people with my reader. I just had my issues with it that probably won't bother anyone else.

3.5 royal stars

A little bit funny. A little bit sad. A little bit of intrigue. This book had a little bit of it all.

I was expecting this book to be little bit more lighthearted than what we got - that's not a bad thing, though. I did enjoy Thea and Nick's story.

However, I didn't feel the connection between Thea and Nick. Other than the "he's my ex-fiance's-brother-and-he's-hot", I just didn't feel it. And I definitely did not feel anything about them falling in love - but this could just be me.

Everything is a little far fetched (though that's why we read fiction, isn't it) and you really did need to just go with the flow with the whole Royal meets Bond kind of thing.

Whilst I didn't love this book, I did like it and it filled a fun couple of hours for me.

The Royal Runaway is my first read by Lindsay Emory, and I will read more in the future.

We have all read books/seen documentaries/watched movies about World War 2, but how many of us know much about what happens when the war ends? I raise my hand and admit I don't know much about the displaced persons of WW2.

Klara and her daughter Alicja's story is one that has gotten me thinking about how lucky I really am in my life.

The Survivors is full of such wonderful characters - though it times I was unsure of whom I should have been trusting.

It is a story full of faith in other, hope for survival, hope when everything seems hopeless. It is a story of a mother doing everything she can to protect her daughter.

Revenge is a dish best served cold, and our characters (from both sides of the war) know how to serve it up. I was gripped by Klara's determination, her ferocity when it came to those she loved.

So many twists and turns, and just when I thought I knew where the story was taking me, Ms Furnivall threw in a curve ball or 2.

Beautifully written, captivating story. This was my first Kate Furnivall read, but it won't be my last.

It seems like forever since I have read a Halfway House series, however it was like I never left once I delved into the pages of A Chosen Man.

I completely and utterly adored Dylan. I love that he is a little bit different, his quirks that he thinks make him unlikable made me adore him more.

Wall (soooo not a fan of that name) is quiet and gruff an enamoured with Dylan.

What we get is a slow burn with lots of suspense and intrigue thrown in for good measure . What I did find lacked a little from the other books in the series was the emotions. In the other books there have been tears, but not in this one - and I wanted them.

It did get a little repetitive for part of the second half of the book (but this could just be me)

I loved getting more of Matt and Julian and the other guys from the Halfway House series. It has made me want to go back and read the previous books all over again.

I hope we get more HH books in the future

I am both a Breakaway series and an LP Dover virgin, however she had me at "hockey".

I wasn't sure how I was going to go, coming in late to a series, however I should not have worried as with exception of some of the other's relationships, I could read this as a stand alone.

You know what I really liked about this one? It wasn't about the game as much as about the man. Justin was just all kinds of swoonworthy from the minute I met him, an I just needed him to find a good woman.

And that is what he finds - quite by accident too.

Meghan is just what Justin needs, and I couldn't help but cheer for them to make it. I loved that there wasn't any real OTT drama, that they didn't do the not talking thing, believing others thing. Sure, they have their problems, but they - gasp - sort them out like adults!

There is a little scene stealer that wormed their way into my heart too, I can't wait for you to meet them/it/I don't want to give it away!

Off The Ice was just... cute and sweet and tender. I am a huge fan of hockey book, however this was just different, and I liked it.

I am always late to the party, so trust me to come in just as the series is ending lol. However Justin and Meghan's story has gotten me interested in the rest of the series, so I will be going back and reading the earlier books.

Lauren Blakely has left the best till last with the Hart brothers.

I have been eager for Miles Hart's book since we first met him in Campbell's book, and I was not disappointed.

I mean single dad? Check! (and hot!)

Friends to lovers? Check!

Sexual tension up the wazoo? Check!

Miles and Roxy's story was all kinds of adorable. I just can't with them!

Their's is a bit of a slow burn, I mean they each want the other but fight it - whilst I am on the other side of the kindle screaming at them to go for it!

I cannot lie though. Ben (Miles' son we have met in the previous books) is the real chicken magnet here.

Oh how that boy has stolen my heart!

I loved getting more of the other Hart brothers and their ladies. I love the banter between them all, I love their support and love for each other. Gah, I want to be in their circle of friends.

I am going to miss the Heartbreakers series, and I hope the Ms Blakely comes back to them some time in the future.

Pleeeeeeaaaaasse

I adore Lauren Blakely's dual POV rom-coms, and The Real Deal is no different.

We all know what it is like, trying to live up to our parent's expectations. And when they are trying to set you up with every eligible man in town, you just can't blame April for hiring someone to play her boyfriend to get them off her case.

I get the smaller town vibe from this book, where everyone knows everyone's business - I live that life!

As much as I adore April's family, gosh at times they frustrated me. The way they treated April, as if whatever she did wasn't good enough -gah. The way they treated Theo when he arrived. I wanted to slap the lot of them - but they did get a lot better and they made me laugh out loud a lot of the time.

I adored watching April and Theo's insta-lust turn into more. It was fun and flirty, sweet and sexy.

Theo's to-and-froing though irritated me. I like you but you shouldn't like me, this is all over blah blah blah. Just make up your mind good sir!

A sweet fake-to-more romance that will have you smiling as you read.

Can't wait to see what Ms Blakely brings us next.
