I am not going to lie, even though Avery Westwood was kind of mostly in the background of the previous books in this series, I didn't like the man. He was self serving, worried about himself and his image, and willing to do whatever it means to keep that image - no matter who he hurt to do it.
I was concerned that that was what we were going to get more of in On The Line, but I should never have feared, as Ms Denault has completely swung my opinion, and I am now completely on #TeamAvery.
I loved how he is with the girl he has been admiring for a while, Stephanie. I can understand why he has kept his distance - she's his teammate/friends sister after all. But
I adored Avery and Stephanie together. A big plus for me was that they didn't immediately fall into bed with each other, their relationship was kind of a slow burn (with lots of UST in the mix). But when they finally get their act together and get to the sexy times.. phew, it is hot hot hot.
I loved getting more of the guys and gals from the earlier books. I adore Seb (Stephanie's brother) and his overprotective streak. I love the banter with Alex (please, he needs to find his one!) and can't wait to see where this series goes next.
I am a huge fan of hockey romance, so I will keep reading this series as long as Ms Denault writes them.

What a sweet little book this is.
Christmas With an Angel carries on where Mistletoe Cottage ended - with a cancelled wedding. Some things won't make a lot of sense if you haven't read Mistletoe Cottage.
In Mistletoe Cottage for most the time I was not sure if I liked Michael, but towards the end and in this novella I really quite did.
I love the interaction between him and his "angel" Shay Angel. A girl from his past, back in his life and he's not sure what to do with her.
A lot happened in this short, and it left me with more questions than answers - questions that I hope will be answered sometime in the future.

Paris Lights is a sweet starts to CJ Duggan's Heart Of The City serie
When Claire's dream holiday to Paris takes an unexpected turn, she has 2 options - go home with her tail between her legs, or give London the big middle finger and stay in Paris.
A "job" at a hotel, a sexy but gruff, sometimes downright mean restaurateur and group of new and amazing friends are just the thing she needs to get over her ex Liam (who really is a bit, no, a lot of a d!ck).
I adored that Claire had no filter - quite an Aussie thing I think! - and how she doesn't cower before the great Louis Delarue. She gives as good as she takes from him, and it really is a case of fighting being foreplay.
Louis - it took me most of the book to warm up to him. I would catch glimpses of a something about him at times but then the cost, no nonsense man would return and it did make him hard to like a lot of the time.
But I did eventually thaw to him as his character loosened up.
I enjoyed the virtual Paris tour that Ms Duggan had Claire taking us on. I could imagine myself in the crowd bustling to see the Mona Lisa at the Louvre, the patisseries, the hustle and bustle down the uneven pathways of the city. And it kind of made me want to go to Paris, and I have never really had the feeling before!
I loved getting swept away with Claire and Louis, and I look forward to seeing where we are taken with the next Heart Of The City book

This ticked a few boxes for me... locked up in a secluded cabin together? - check. Frenemies to lovers? Check!
Add in the fact that they didn't jump right into bed with each other? Check - though there is plenty of sexy times to be had.
Snowed In is the second Jenna Bayley-Burke book that I have read, and she has quickly become an author that I keep on my "what's coming next" list.
They have their history that has tainted their relationship in the past, but they can't fight that attraction. The dirty talking, UST busting banter between them had me hoping that they could get past their issues as I knew that they could be something great.
And it made this Aussie girl want to get snowed in with a sexy guy for a few days!
Grab yourself a cuppa, a comfy chair and a couple of hours where you won't be interrupted and enjoy Snowed In.

I fell in love with this series when I read Lexington and 42nd, but I have to say, Meet Me Halfway is even better.
I adore the fact that Olivia is making her way in the male dominated sports reporting field - sad that in this day and age that this is still the way.
She is feisty and focused and out to prove herself.
Nate is a first round draft pic and on to bigger and better things. The last thing he expects is the reporter sent to film a documentary.
I did like the premise of the doco - there are so many documentaries out there about sports stars when they have made it, when they retire, where are they now sort of things, but the idea of getting him at the start of his professional career intrigued me.
There is so much spark between Olivia and Nate. I swear the proximity UST from them is real! The heat, the passion, the sexy times ... damn girl you are a lucky duck!
Meet Me Halfway is sweet and sexy with a little bit of drama but not a lot of angst. My heart ached, my heart soared for both Olivia and Nate as they tread the road to a new relationship.
I absolutely devoured this book once I started it, and now I am impatiently waiting for what she brings us next.

Wow, when things cool down in Colorado, they really heat up!
Dash and Dilyn's story is a short, hot and sexy Christmas novella that will be steaming up your ereader!
It is hard with a novella to make it not seem insta-lovey, so yes while this is insta-lust and insta-sexy, it didn't feel tooooo insta0lovey for me (gosh, does that make any sense?). I felt there was enough between Dilyn and Dash that it felt like we had known them a lot longer.
There was laughter, some tears and a bit of a broken heart for another character we meet along the way.
At times, it did feel a little cheesey, like a Hallmark Christmas movie, but maybe this was just me.
Now we are about to hit December, this was a perfect little read to get me into the Christmas mood.
Can't wait to see what Ms Leighton brings us next.

This is my second Tammy L Bailey read and it is one I really enjoyed.
Right from the start, Grace and Ayden's story gripped me and had me hoping, no needing them to have a HEA.
Ayden was a bit of a d!ck to begin with really, but oh did I adore him as much for it and I wanted to slap him for it.
Their story wasn't really what I was expecting - not a bad thing at all though. I was expecting a sugary sweet Christmas story full of jingle bells and ho ho hos. But In Mistletoe was so much more. The characters delved deeper than just a holiday romance.
I am still unsure about how I feel about what some characters did in this story. I can understand the why of what they did, but the execution... hmm, the jury is still out on that one! I can't decide if I love them for what they did or if I am still holding on to a bit of anger!
Thanks for that Ms Bailey! I can't wait to see what you bring us next

Timberrrrrrrr! Hear that? That's the sound of the last Manwhore falling - and falling hard!
Callan Carmichael has been the last one standing since his best friends Malcolm and Tahoe succumbed to the one woman that was perfect for each of them.
He's having none of that. No way, nope, never.
Then Olivia stumbles out on the his terrace - and the rest is history.
I loved this story. From the first time he and Olivia see each other, it is full steam ahead. They are cute, and sweet, and adorable and every other adjective like it. You can feel the pull between them, the sexual tension, the lust. But what we don't have is unnecessary tension, misunderstandings and miscommunications.
There is a big thing that you know is going to have to happen, but even when it does happen - shock horror - every one acts like adults (I know, I know, sounds unbelievable but it is true!!)
And I loved that everyone acted their age. I loved that we get an angst free, drama free read, and that their relationship flowed easily.
Thank you Ms Evans for giving us another sweet and beautiful story, and another hot guy to fall for!

Donna Grant is a new to me author, but she had me at SEAL.
I am not going to lie, whilst this book started with a bang, it too me a while to get into the swing of the story.
But once I was in there, it was full throttle action.
I adored our MCs Own and Natalie, the unresolved feelings between them, the tension ramping up as their story continued.
There is mystery, suspense and drama all rolled into one book, and I never knew what was going to happen next.
And just when I thought we were going to get answers... boom - we were cliffied!
But it is not too long until the next book, The Protector is with us. Can't wait to see what happens with the Loughman family next.

Holy Sh!tballs!
I have read M. Robinson's books from the very first one, and each and every time I pick up a new book I think to myself "Self: I know what to expect this time!"
And each and every time, Ms Robinson blows me away. I know this is her at home as we read her books. And as expected, this is what she has done to me... again

I was only a few chapters into Road To Nowhere before she made me USC (ugly snot cry). I knew she would do it to me. I had the tissues ready for it. But man I really did not see that coming at all!
I adored Mia and Creed. From the sassy-mouthed 9 year old that first meets Creed to the young woman we watch blossom and grow, there was nothing I didn't love about her.
Creed - omg the feels. I never knew if I was up or down with him *shakes fist at Ms Robinson*
I don't want to give anything away with this book, except to say please remain seated, fasten seatbelts, keep arms and legs within the carriage as you are about to go on an

What can I say but do yourself a favour and read this book. Right now. This instant! Shoo!
Thank you Ms Robinson for another fantastic, brilliant read - now hurry up with the next one!
