Ethan who? Holt what?
Move over Ethan Holt, there is a new acting hottie here to take your place.
I never thought that anyone could take Ethan's place (even though I despised him in Bad Romeo, I came to love him in Broken Juliet) but then Liam Quinn entered my world, and there was no looking back.
Elissa Holt (Ethan's sister, remember her) had one night with Liam Quinn, but her heart was his from that night one.
6 years down the track, their world's collide again, and as much as she tries, her heart just can't take it. Oh my goodness, my heart ached along with Elissa, as over and over again Liam shows that he still wants her... but he is not free.
Boy, were there tears after tears after tears as I read Wicked Heart. I just wanted Liss to be able to move on, or for Liam and Liss to be together. So much could have been avoided with a conversation or two, but I could understand why things were the way they were.
Doesn't mean I had to like them though!
There is drama, there is angst, there is so much that I want to say about this book but I just can't without spoiling things. I want to just scream to the world how wonderful Wicked Heart is, shout from the rooftops that everyone should stop what they are doing and read it - right now!
Wicked Heart is a beautiful, tender, sweet and adorable second chance romance, and I wish I could read it again for the first time - over and over again. To me it was just one of those perfect romances.
Please give us more Ms Rayven - I NEED MORE!

A new series from Sawyer Bennett? Yes please!
Sugar Daddy and the Sugar Bowl series was so completely different from what I have read of hers before.
And I loved it.
Sela's world is again turned upside down when she sees JT on television. She enacts a plan on revenge - but what she didn't realise was that it would throw her into the arms of a wonderful man.
Beck is JT's best friend - and he's an amazing guy - I think??
Secrets and lies are never good for a relationship, and Beck knows that Sela is hiding something. And he hates lies. Despises them.
Ugh, this pair! There are plenty of sexy, warm, beautiful and loving moments in Sugar Daddy, but there are also plenty of darker, sadder moments.
And then, just when I thought some of these things were going to get cleared up for me....
We were cliffhangered!
Well, actually it is not as if we weren't warned by Ms Bennett that there was a cliffhanger, but holy heck, this was a big one!
And cliffies don't usually bother me, but this time I was screaming at my kindle, cursing Ms Bennett for making me have to wait until August to find out what happens.
I need a time machine, as I need this book right now! This instant!

Told mostly in the past, before Tyler Mercer became Tyler White, drummer for Wicked White, Tyler and Avery's story is .. Sweet. Yeah, that would be the word for it.
But for me it just lacked that something, that oomph that I usually get with one of Ms Valentine's books.
Don't get me wrong, I liked this story, but just didn't love it.
At times, Tyler and Avery's relationship felt quite immature to me (and this could just be me). Yes they were all loved up, but when things went bad it just... went.
And I felt that Avery needed to grow a bit of back bone when Tyler came back into her life. To me she just kind of rolled over and all was happy and wonderful again.
But like I said, this could just be me.
This is a sweet, wholesome kind of story (that could be my problem - it might have been a bit too wholesome for me and lacked that sexiness??) and if you are looking for a happy story, then give Wicked Love a go!

I am not going to lie. I really wasn't a fan of Quaid Jackson when we first met him in previous books. He just came across as an arrogant douche in a suit for me.
And I know that a lot of people really hated Avett Walker as we got bits and pieces of her through the previous stories, but there was just something about her that I couldn't hate. Dislike the things she did, hell yeah, but her - nope, couldn't do it.
I have seen Ms Crownover receive some flack over the years for her female characters. But they are real, they are flawed, they have pasts that aren't all skipping down the road whistling away, happy as Larry.
The more we got into Avett's tale, the more I admired her. She has always been the act first, think later kind of girl, and yes it has gotten her into some strife. But god I loved how she never wavered from who she was at heart.
"I’m always going to jump and think the risk is worth it. That’s part of who I am.”
And don't get me started on Quaid. He was so not what I expected him to be!
But I don't want to spoil things for anyone. To find out what I mean, you really are going to have to be like Avett and
Jump!

See that one up there on the left ^^ - that is M. Robinson as we are reading Crave Me.
I knew that Austin's story was going to be ugly, and I did heed the warnings to have tissues and alcohol nearby.
But man, what M. Robinson has given us is just so. much. more.
I don't think I have even hit double digits percentage wise of this read before I was a blubbering mess. Both Austin and Brigg's stories were tragic, and I wanted nothing more than to grab them both in a big warm hug.
And they were as good for each other as they were bad.
"Heaven and Hell. God and Satan. Love and Hate. It all blended together. Forming a clusterf&*k of hope and despair."
Ugh! I can't tell you how many time I had to stop reading as I couldn't focus on the page through my ugly tears. Just when you thought that there couldn't be any more, that this had to finally be it for our lovelies, the rug was pulled from under your feet. Again. We are taken on an
and so many times I wanted to get off the ride, but wanted, no needed to know what happened next.
There is a character who plays a rather large part in this story (who we haven't met before) who I was always wondering - is he a good guy or is he a bad? Even at the end I was conflicted.
There is also a great set up for the next book - but I am not going to tell you who or what it is about - you need to experience it for yourself!
M. Robinson truly is the Queen of Angst - and can't wait till she tears me apart next.
But please Ms Robinson - buy a girl's heart dinner before you f&*k it!!

I am slack - I have not read the first 2 books in this series, even though I have had them forever!
But this did not affect my reading of Last Mile at all (except for making me want to go back now and read the first 2 books)
Samantha's life has had tragedy in it, but she has (mostly) overcome things.
Then she meets Bishop - a man she felt predestined to hate.
I loved the spark between Sam and Bishop. Even though she shouldn't like him, she can't help it. The situation they find themselves in does not lead to smooth sailing - but this girl could only hope!
Secrets, lies, you just know that things are going to come to a head, but kept biding my time for it to happen.
This story goes from heart breaking, to funny, uplifting and hopeful. I adored the family aspect of the MC, how no matter what family first.
The tension in the last 1/4 of the book had me on the edge of my couch, knowing how things would end up, but needing to know how they got where they were.
Thank you Ms Ashley. Can't wait to see what you bring us next.

That right there ^^ is what I took from reading Losing Faith.
Lacey Marone didn't just lost her best friend the night that Faith Kelly died. She lost her other best friend, she lost family, the lost the boy she loved.
But what she hasn't lost is her sense of purpose. As much as it has cost her, is still costing her, she won't give up until she finds what she is after.
Enter Quade - the one that got away. Well, ran away really. Right from the start you can feel that pull between Lacey and Quade, and you can't hope that they will make their way back to each other.
As the story continues, my heart hurt for both Lacey and Quade, knowing what we know and what they are after.
Lacey is so full of compassion, of love, of heartache. I just wanted to wrap her up in a big ol' hug.
I adore adore adore Lacey's parents, and in particular her dad, and I defy to you feel any different when you are reading.
There is a real sense of whodunnit running through Losing Faith. But Ms Ryder keeps us guessing right until the last minute to find out who does what.
I was drawn into the lives of the people of Runaway Beach. I laughed, I got sad, I smiled from ear to ear, I wanted to bitch slap people at different times in the story.
Thank you Ms Ryder for writing such a wonderful story.
Now off to read Seeking Faith.

I have this terrible disease called Booksalzheimer's, and I can forget about a book before I have even put it back on the shelf!
I was certain that I was going to go into Demand completely clueless as to what happened in Denial, but Ms Jones has given us a pretty thorough recap at the beginning of this book.
Ella and Kayden's story continues on where we left of in Denial, and there are as many twists and turns as ever. We are still trying to find out who Ella is, what she knows, why she is on the radar. Her amnesia is as frustrating for the reader as it is for Ella herself - but we know that we won't find out until Ms Jones is ready to reveal.
I adore Kayden - even through all the times you wonder if he is as good as he seems. He is still hiding some things from Ella and it does plant that seed of doubt.
But we do start to get some answers in Demand - but for every question we get answers for, we get more questions. Gah! I need to know these things.
I loved that we had a a reunion of sorts and it did bring a big old smile to my dial.
But just as we start to settle again, we are left wanting more.
Please can it be December yet, I need to know these things!!

I wasn't sure what to expect with Smut, so I went into this one completely blind.
And what I got was a sweet, geeky rom com of a story that, while it took me a while to get into it (don't get me wrong the first scenes were quite funny, but then it dragged a bit for me (but this could have just been me). Don't get me wrong, it was good, but it just seemed to take a while to get a roll on.
Amanda and Blake's story is like a rom com movie - a real hate/love relationship that you know where it is going to end up, but you don't know how it will get there.
I loved Amanda's geekiness, the LARPing (though I don't get the Benedict Cumberbatch obsession - don't understand that obsesssion at all). I loved her kinda-sorta awkwardness.
And oh Blake - I loved that boy, from his smirk to his snarky comments to the tips of his toes. I loved his banter with Amanda, I loved how much he cared for his little brother, and I loved how he was with his "houseguest" Fluffy - this made me laugh out loud more than once.
One thing that did irk me a little though was Amanda's aversion to romance books and the romance/erotica genre in general. The romance community feels like they are berated, made to feel less of writers enough as it is, and I didn't need to have it in my books as well - but again, this could just be my feelings.
Smut was a fun, eventually smutty story that I read in one sitting. Now Ms Halle, what will you bring us next?

Seeking Faith follows the same timeline as Losing Faith, however this story is told from the POV of Mack - Faith's other best friend.
And I have to say....
WOW! This book just blew me away! I loved Lacey and Quade's story, but man oh man I LOVED Mack and Byron's story.
This book was just filled with so much emotion. Guilt, regret, love and loss. There is an air of mystery and suspense around Mack that Ms McKellar really did keep close to her chest, and I was completely taken by surprise when all was revealed.
My heart ached for Mack, over and over as more was revealed of the events those years ago. And I was more than surprised as we learn more about Faith - there was just so much more than meets the eye with her.
Byron was just.... Byron - there is no words to describe him other than .. sigh. From the minute we met him, all that they go through, all that we learn, he never wavered from his feelings, what he wants.
And I just love him more for it.
It was great that we got to see Lacey and Quade through Mack's eyes. I also love (and loathed) some of the secondary character - really went from one end of the spectrum to the other with some of them!
This collaboration between Jennifer Ryder between Ms Ryder and Mc McKellar is a thing of beauty, and I hope they work together again in the future.
