This isn't bad???? I just COULD NOT for the life of me bring myself to care about these characters.
The whole thing just feels very...in your face with the messaging? It's possible this is because of the audiobook narration, so I might try it in text. Very cheesy (which I don't usually mind) and some of the tropes are a little bit too...meh. Like, sorry, but why is the straight girl's gay best friend just hitting on every hot man within his peripheral? Why is the knight's last name MacKnight? And while I'd usually love subverting gender expectations by making the woman a knight, the whole "NO, YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO BE A MAN" and that whole discussion felt like....idk forced girl power? lmao

3 major issues:
- I was already kind of "meh" on this author's books but I was excited about getting Will's story since he was my favorite character so far, but then...
- WILL SIMPLY WAS NOT OLD ENOUGH. I'm so sorry if we watched a character grow up and now we're going to get to their romance story, they must be at least 25 not still in college. Literally the idea of him having sex made me feel weird.
- After feeling weird about this book I checked out what the book was about and realized that it involved an asexual character who isn't interested in having sex at all. Which is great! We love ace rep in romance! HOWEVER, I hardly trust this author to write about gay men correctly so I certainly don't trust her to write about sexualities outside of that???

Tell me why this man who has only ever been with one other woman could tell THIS woman was a virgin upon entry. As if that’s a thing anyway. Then made a whole stink about it and his “thank you for choosing me” 😒😒
This dude was generally exhausting and then I remembered the CWs I saw so I checked reviews and confirmed this book isn’t for me.
Also the ethics behindhaving sex with your nanny is bad enough, but add on the fact that he discovered she was living out of her car, paid for her to get a place, and then instead asked her to move in immediately after his fiancé left him and it is just so ick???
