I like his yoga and meditation classes on Peloton but this book just isn’t working for me
I really wanted to love this one since Elizabeth Barnhill recommended it, but it’s just not working for me.
I think this is one might have worked better for me as a novella or a short story?
I liked the concept but at 57% I expected more

52 pages in and a lot of the very short chapters felt repetitive. The chapters may be short, but the plot wasn’t moving as quick to go with how quick the chapters were. I’m guessing this is a big reason of why the book is so long
DNFing, nothing is bringing me to want to pick it back up
I got spoiled and apparently the dog dies so I’m done
Also I was bored

Not every book from a prolific writer will be great. This is one of those 🫠
For being a supposed stalker story, I’m not finding any character interesting enough to stalk
Well if Emily Austin is going to put “Avoid Mallory, too” in a conversation about baby names, then I’m going to avoid Emily Austin

I picked this one up for my most recent flight and was hoping to get sucked into a thriller, but sadly that’s not what happened.
Even at 77% into the story, nothing remotely mysterious or thriller has happened. The story switches between past and present POVs of Becca, Wyatt, and Grant surrounding the death of Grant’s sister, but doesn’t give us much. Each character comes off as one note and each does stupid things. Additionally, each character is even more annoying than the last.
