If I read the last time Compton anytime soon, it will be too soon. I should’ve restarted the book and started a “how many times will the characters say the name Compton?” count. 

I’m all for vain and unlikeable characters in thrillers, but give them some kind of personality besides “not the girl next door” and “Rich previously married man”.

I ended up DNFing this one due to the voices of the three POVs being too similar in how they were written. It was hard to differentiate between the three since they weren’t divided by chapters but were within in the same chapter with just a break. 

This will definitely work for someone else because it drew me in besides that but it wasn’t working for me

Sadly this one is a DNF. It was moving very slowly for me and I wish the fact that cancer is a plot point was mentioned in the synopsis

I’m simply not in the mood for something so quirky, yet grim and overwritten. Yet I say that I think Tess does a good job of showing a bit of small town Indiana community in this one. 

I felt like I was reading the transcripts from the 2024 Biden/Trump debate - INCOHERENT.

The only detective affair I want to see is Benson and Stabler
