I really enjoyed this novel. It’s very long which almost deterred me at first, but it moved pretty quickly. Like a lot of action-adventure stories it felt like the whole story was moving from place to place constantly and I don’t know that I could confidently pick out a “middle” but regardless I enjoyed the journey. Kira is an excellent narrator and relatable.

Started reading a story or two a night. These fairy books were a staple of my youth, largely because of the illustrations. These are not the friendly children’s fairytales of Disney, but a cultural storytelling review.

Unexpected results and very unconventional writing. The imagery created intrigue - and any confusion it caused only made me read on more urgently.

The concept of this novel is... well... bizarre? Imaginative? Insane? Possibly one of the most thoughtful environmental metaphors ever (maybe)? If you enjoy science fiction, fantasy, space travel, and social commentary, read this book. Seske Kaleigh is an engaging protagonist you find yourself cheering for again and again.

This graphic novel is a kick starter project that a friend of mine supported and then lent me to check out. The story is a postapocalyptic (I assume) story about the animals left behind. That’s definitely a story that’s been told before very very well, and this was good, but the characters are hopefully more realized in the second volume? The art here is top notch. The lighting definitely has a very “computer animation” feel to it but it’s still just simply beautiful.

These covers make this series look like any other fantasy romance, but don't be fooled, the story is much richer and more clever than so many others! I really enjoy these characters and the storyline.
