Heather Graham's story, In the Dark, is fun if not really obvious in both the romance and the mystery, but fun. The second story, Person of Interest, I couldn't even finish. Truly poor and cliche writing style - or at least it didn't work for me.

Possible these are getting a bit more/too intense for my son, but I’m enjoying them more and more 😂

My son is yet another kid hooked on this series and we are delighted!

This book is unique and thoughtful science fiction. It will stay with me.

Max is loving the magic treehouse and these books are fun and easy to read aloud.

In anticipation of the film I re-read the original novel for the first time since preteen/childhood on the plane today. This book truly altered the course of my imagination and as such, my life as a young girl. It holds up and still moves me, but certain pieces I’d forgotten and it’s not the epic I quite remembered. Meg wasn’t the perfect hero I recalled thinking she was - which delights me in retrospect. I read this flawed, hurt, complex character as a kid and to me she was still the perfect hero, today as an adult I thought “she’s kinda bratty.” Child me forgave what adult me dwelled on and judged. The minds of children are the best: referring to both the characters and myself as a child. Looking forward to Hope Larson’s graphic novel interpretation next!

I loved this ending. I loved this leg of the story. This story feels like a transition so I can see how some felt this installment was boring or lacking, but it was clear. Darkness this way comes. Toby is no longer a novice, she's all woman.
