So those first 30 pages are brutally dry, but once he gets into the short stories and telling the actual myths, Gaiman's voice comes through.

For a book co-authored by 10 people it was surprisingly cohesive. I wish they would've shared what they used as a collaborative writing process. Despite the cohesion it fell flat for me. Cool characters, but our protagonist spent way too much time vague and confused. It was repetitive without really benefiting the plot. Also I really didn't care for that epilogue Shelby ending.

That book was... haunting? Comforting? I don't know, but it'll stick with me. Amazingly well crafted and I loved the shifting viewpoints.
