Honestly I’m pretty over dystopian X-men type books bc nobody can do it like shatter me does it

I've read a lot (a lot) of Courtney Milan books and while this one became really fun (Judith and Christian's banter was Top Tier) I had a weird amount of trouble getting into it and I don't know whether to blame myself or the book? Admittedly I've been in a bit of a funk lately but it also definitely started out pretty slow so... take that as you will.

you know... I generally say that books in verse like this just "aren't my thing" but this was absolutely stunning
