I genuinely finished that book and immediately thought "well. that was a book I just read."

it was...fine? lots of problematic nonsense (but you can tell that from the synopsis), a fair amount of cuteness, some more or less acceptable smut.

this book suffered from some pacing issues -- an infodump-y first third and a final act that moved astoundingly quickly -- but it was a very good time all around

this series is some of the more batshit nonsense i've read and i'm obsessed with it

this is one of those books i didn't love but i can just feel that the series is going to get better
