- i liked the fact that they recognized that they needed to be apart to live their lives.

- there is a lot of instalove, and it's not done well. there could've been one or two pages dedicated to fully developing their first feelings when they first meet, then the following meetups could be simplified, but instead, we were given fragments of nothing. essentially, i did not care for the romance

Sam was not the person who leaked Tate's information because literally they were eavesdropping a conversation where her grandmother said the EXACT SAME THINGS that the "leak" said.

i don't hate this book. i hate the people who talk about this book as if it is the most amazing thing in this world. because IN MY OPINION, this book is no where near the pedestal it has been set upon. there are a lot of books on booktok that do not deserve hype, but this one is the most undeserving of them all. and the fact that it's getting a sequel... :/

- also, the idea that they' might go kidnap more women is just fucking horrifying, but i am here for it. i hope they find people who aren't completely vulnerable. i need a couple of powerful bitches to shake things up. hopefully humans or OTHER aliens :)

- the entire time i knew this: i am okay with any ending, except for

kinda lowkey need a bridgerton style "can't" have children plotline, but i doubt that will happen (especially with the original Sa Khui group)

the thing about this series is that the smut is good, the romances are mediocre, and the plot is lackluster. BUT, the plot clearly has the most potential and it is wasted :/
