As the leaves start to turn and the air gets a bit crisper, there's no better time to dive into a cozy, witchy romcom—and this book fits the bill perfectly. An adorable, lighthearted tale, it’s the ideal companion to kick off the spooky season with a blend of magic, romance, and a touch of mystery.

What sets this book apart from others I've read in this witchy romcom realm is that our MFC doesn't actually know that she is a witch. It add a fun spin to the usual narrative.

The story does move a bit slowly, but with the added air of mystery it works well -- just took me a bit of time to get really engaged. One of the strengths of this book is that it doesn’t overwhelm the reader with complicated magical lore. Instead, the author skillfully weaves in the magical elements without lengthy explanations, making it accessible even for those who are new to fantasy or witchy novels. Cozy and enjoyable, it’s an excellent choice for anyone in the mood for a lighthearted fall romance. Whether you’re a seasoned reader of witchy tales or just looking for a charming, magical escape, this book is sure to leave you with a smile on your face.

The more books I read by Mariana Zapata, the more I fall in love with her.

I always feel too dumb for these books, like I really need to know more about mythology but nevertheless these books are fun.

Okay, I loved this but I really need to disassociate from the fact that they are 20 years old. In my brain, I'm gonna pretend they are like 28 because I just cannot deal with them being such tiny little babies.

My expectations were SUPER high after the first book in the series and I think that is the only reason I'm giving this one three stars. It was good on its own, but I wanted so much more.

Didn't really realize that it was going to be smut-free so that was a bummer, however I do really enjoy expanding my horizons and reading romance from authors of all backgrounds. I always learn so much in the way the characters interact with each other. I'm not a huge fan of the reality tv trope and while this wasn't EXACTLY that, it did feel the same due to the competition the two main families compete in and so that turned me off a bit. Still a great book, though!

Parts of this book are living rent-free in my head. I don't think it is necessarily the best book on the planet, but I'm not exactly sad that I read it. Its cute and gives you a fun tour around Ireland, plus add in his fun family and her quirky BFF.

I was so, so excited to read this once I read the dedication page, but I was honestly a bit disappointed. I'd consider this book to have a lot more tension than actual spice. With a dedication that pointed out so many chapters the author wanted to steer family away from reading (which honestly made me bust a gut laughing) I was just expecting so much more.

I think the book was trying too many things at once and would have benefitted from removing a character or two. There's just so much going on and I got confused about what was even happening several times. We were given partial character arcs for people that ultimately didn't matter to the plot and instead it took away from the love story I really wanted to focus on. The cruise aspect was so different and interesting, but I was just so lost along the way.

Oh wow, I loved this book so freaking much. Its beautiful and real and the characters are each dealing with grief in their own ways. It definitely has some sad moments, but the overarching theme is one of hope of love and beauty. The author herself called this "an odd little book" and while I do agree that its different from what I tend to read, it is so beautiful and wonderful because of its oddity.

Oh, I love me a grumpy sunshine with an overly protective hero - My absolute jam. Take those characters and force them into a car together for a 3 month road trip across the states? YES PLEASE!

This is one of my favorite of Morgan's books. (No one has been able to top Nick's Big Energy yet.) I read through it so quickly that I actually immediately started re-reading it to be able to slow down and highlight passages and what not. The first time I just couldn't stop.

The book has Ms. Congeniality vibes and I was HERE FOR IT.
