The writing wasn't great, but the story wasn't moving fast enough for it to tolerate. 

The characters were just too cringy 

I put this book down for a while and then picked it backIup. The author has an interesting story, but I find her writing style and main character to be reallyIannoying.

I found the author to be cringy. I also thought she made a lot of big claims without much to back it up. I thought she contradicted herself. Overall, I found this to be a laughably over the top attempt at a book about feminism and linguistic, but a failed attempted at best.
