It was too slow of a slow burn

I just got bored. I'd put it down and be completely unmotivated to pick it back up

The main guy was a jerk. 

Audiobooks just stopped working for me at that moment. 

I just couldn't get into it. I think I was reading too much at once. 

Too brutal

The writing was just...so bad.

Her "f*ck it list" was just...a bit dull. And that she thought it was so scandalous made me cringe a bit. I don't read romance novels for the plot (who does) and this one just didn't hook me fast enough. 

So much sexism. Yuck. Not what I want in my romance novels. Historical or not.
