This thriller is quite good. Some parts are boring, other parts have really high suspence. Sometimes the storyline was a bit confusingwith all the names, and I think the plot is unnecessary complicated.

This is your average YA Fantasy novel.

During the reading of this book, I thought the title was a mayor spoiler. Now, I just don't get it yet.

I was #teammaven, but I feel betrayed.

I don't know how the handle the ending.

So glad [b:Glass Sword|23174274|Glass Sword (Red Queen, #2)|Victoria Aveyard|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1436460934s/23174274.jpg|42720997] is already released.

Meh. I didn't completely understood everything and it didn't contribute to the story of the series for me.

Interesting to read about Farley, some nice touches, but not really special or giving much more depth, something I'm used to of (good) novella's. those two are just meh.

The first 25%: meh, more of the same
25-75%: quite interesting
SpoilerI like the focus on the abilities. I hate that Kilorn sees Mare as more than family/a friend, to predicable, just like any other YA fantasy.

75-85%: This is fascinating, anyone can indeed betray anyone, I feel a stab to my heart.
85%-end: What is this suppose to mean?

I think I will read the next book in series next year, but I'm not wild about it. Just an average YA fantasy novel, but with two interesting aspects: anyone can betray anyone, and the thing with the abilities. But that it not enough for me to make this special.

Yes, 5* for a shopaholic chicklit, but I have good reasons. Part 7 was really crap and over the top, I didn't enjoyed that book. But for somehow, I wanted to read this book as well. If it was crap as well, i could always quit it, but I gave it a chance.

And I'm sooo happy I did!

In this book, there is a lot of character evolvement, and I mean A LOT. Even Becky! There were storylines beneath the story, about love, friendship, reflection, trust.. I really liked that. And it had really funny parts. In the last book, the humor felt like a trick, but in this one it was genuine again. But it was really Beckish, so that was great.

Reading this book felt like meeting a good friend from the past again and go on where you left stuff :) So I do recommend this read, but you must read the book before this to gasp the story inside out en get the storyline underneath. Keep calm, read on, and enjoy this book afterwards!
