I just loved the premise here, if there’s a podcast element I’m in but add in some secrets and and unknown connection between characters and I’m really intrigued. Maggie and Ann were both well crafted characters and I was dying to hear Ann’s story almost as much as Maggie was. This was such an immersive and evocative read, as Ann detailed her past travels I was transported all around the world and the author did such a wonderful job at bringing various cities alive. Part family drama and part tragic love story this one really did captivate me. If you like stories about messy situations, long buried secrets and gorgeous settings try this!

This was a sweet little read, it’s under two hundred pages so it’s super easy to get caught up and finish it in one sitting, which is exactly what I did. Despite it being on the shorter side I didn’t feel like the chemistry between Lanie and Max was lacking, they had a great connection. Max’s grandma was a cute addition to the story, I’m a sucker for a strong side character and she was great. If you like sweet small town romances with lots of heart try this.

As soon as I read the description of this I knew it was a must read, I mean a bad review turns into an author tracking the reviewer down? How deliciously creepy. Having read the authors previous books I knew what to expect, meaning he writes really cinematic and fast paced thrillers that defy logic but are always fun and this may be his most unhinged book yet. You have to and I mean you MUST suspend all disbelief if you’re going to read this because none of it seems even remotely possible. But if you’re able to let reality go this was wild and really fun. It does get a little gory and descriptive but it’s also a very quick read that I enjoyed. If you’ve enjoyed the authors other books I think you will like this one too.

Somehow I missed that this was a love triangle and I’m glad I did cause I may not have even given it a chance if I had. They’re usually really not my thing at all because if the MC ends up with the person I don’t want them to it ruins everything for me. But it worked for me here! So just a head up on that I feel like you either love or hate that trope. Anyway, this was a really refreshing read for me. I love romance (obviously) but this felt like the author had a unique point of view which is always a nice change. As much as this is a romance it’s actually very much about Luna figuring out her sexual identity and it’s a messy process for her. I mean that in the best way though, because while she’s a huge mess it’s understandable because she young and she’s also really likable and endearing so that helps. It did take a little bit of time for things to get going here, I would say about halfway through is when I started to get invested so know it’s a slow start. But still worth a read for me, I liked the angst, the drama, the insider LA setting and the concept of found family. If you like sapphic romance/coming of age stories try this

This one pulled me in with an interesting premise and kept me reading with the combination of well developed characters and a plot that went in mostly unexpected directions. Two women who want out of their marriages and while they both want to help each other, their definition of help is very different. I don’t want to say anything else about the plot, because again this had some pretty solid surprises. But went deeper than that too, the author also explored race and religion and trauma in super interesting ways so this wasn’t just a twisty read, it definitely had some depth as well. I enjoyed it overall, I did want a tiny bit more in the end but it was still worth the read for me for sure.

I’m still very in the mood to read romances with a single dad and the nanny so I had a feeling I would like this one and I was right. I liked the spin the author put on the trope too with Aiden being one of Cassie’s previous customers on her now closed Only Fans account. This definitely brought the heat, there were some really sexy steamy scenes and the balance between those hot moments and the funny and charming family like scenes was a great balance for me. Sophie is Aiden’s adorable nine year old daughter and her relationship with Cassie was so pure. Cassie’s friend Wanda basically stole the show, she was a hilarious and sassy older woman who cracked me up. If you’re a romance fan and like them on the smuttier side but still want a plot this was great!
