This series has been so much fun and every book is SO good! After the previous book I was dying to see Jen get her HEA but I was hesitant about Abel. I was protective of her for sure but hot damn this man y’all 🥵 He won me over for sure by the end and there were some reasons for his surliness that made it easy to forgive him. The secretive factor this had due to the fake marriage was hot and when the spice hit things were beyond hot. There was also plenty of sweetness too, the whole southern charm thing this series has is the best and it’s the perfect combination of sugar and spice. I’m super sad the series is over but thrilled about the authors next one!
This is the third book in a series and definitely my fave so far, it’s so rare for a series to get better with each book but this one is! I’ve done all three on audio so far and that is the way to go, all have had amazing narrators and this one was dual narration by Jacob Morgan and Ava Lucas and these two were both 🔥 Jacob as drunk Shep was one of my favorite audio scenes ever 😂 and Ava portrayed Kri’s emotional state throughout the book so incredibly well. I love romantic suspense so much and the tension here was next level. Most of the rom suspense I read has very little humor but the author makes me crack up one minute and then has me on the edge of my seat the next. Such a hard combination to pull off but she does it so well! I am already dying to read the next book but I’m waiting on audio, definitely check this whole series out if you like spice, tension, laughs and top tier narration.
God it felt so good to be back with Myron and the gang, it’s been way too long and I missed these characters so much. Being back in this world was like reuniting with old friends, if you’ve read and loved this series like me you’ll know exactly what I mean. As always there is a fantastic mystery, Myron’s old rival is wanted by the FBI in a current murder case but the catch is he died several years ago so why is he connected to a current crime? That’s all I’ll say but in his usual style the author took me on a wild and unpredictable ride that left me shocked by the end. I was even a little emotional when I finished, an unexpected tug on my heartstrings that made me ache. This is such a great series, can’t wait for the next installment and hopefully it won’t be such a long wait for book 13!
This is the fourth book in a series but I started here and was totally fine. I’m not normally big on insta love but this one was so cute I didn’t even mind. It’s a quick listen, the author doesn’t waste any time on any aspects of the plot but again, it didn’t bother me because I was in the mood for something fun, fast and sexy and this delivered. The only place that may have felt a tad rushed for me was the ending but overall this was light, spicy and a really enjoyable listen. I’ve listened to a few books narrated by Tim Paige before and he’s fantastic but Addison Barnes was new to me and she is so good I’ll be seeking out her work again ASAP!
This was such a perfect ending to the cutest series! I have been both dreading and dying to read this one. I didn’t want to say goodbye to Landmark Mountain but I was really looking forward to Sutton’s book and it was so worth the wait. Single dad and the nanny is all I needed to hear but this also has age gap too as an added bonus. Sutton was fairly quiet and reserved in the glimpse we saw in previous books and it was good to see a different side of him. Moments between him and his son, Owen were absolutely adorable then he was a bossy, dirty talker with Felicity and hot damn. I loved Felicity too, she was the missing puzzle piece for the Landmark boys and her relationship with both of them was so special. This series is my comfort and I know I’ll revisit it in the future, it’s cozy, sweet, sexy and so so much fun!
If there’s one thing that’s always gonna make me want to read a book it’s if there’s a wedding involved so this one was a must for me. Not one, but TWO weddings AND some drama and scheming? Sign me up! If you’re a seasonal reader and want something light and fun this is perfect for this time of year. It’s witty, frothy and super entertaining with plenty of great characters and lots of wedding details.
Something about this authors writing is so addictive to me, there’s such a great balance between angst and banter that just pulls me in. Kee and Dex had dated as young adults then tragedy tore them apart and now years have gone by and they’re back in each other’s lives. They didn’t end on good terms the first time so that’s where the angst and drama comes in and it was juicy. Their chemistry was insane, so many super hot and spicy moments between them and their push and pull added so much great tension. The back and forth made their HEA so much sweeter and worth all the drama in the end.
You ever finish a book and wonder wtf you just read? And not in a good way? That’s me with this one. As soon as I started it I knew this would either be a love or hate it situation for me but I was interested enough that I wanted to see it all the way through and hoped it would be worth it and it just wasn’t for me at all. It’s very unique and told in letters but the first one didn’t end until forty three percent and good lord that just seemed excessive. The beginning tells you there’s ruined documents involved but as you read sentences are cut off or the voice changes abruptly and I know that was a specific choice but it wasn’t a good choice. It made it difficult to piece the story together and I think I’m a smart reader but this was confusing. The ending was such a letdown and left way too many questions, a decent premise but the execution was awful for me.
I was a little hesitant about the premise here, I mean two jilted individuals living together seemed like quite a stretch and this is coming from someone who reads tons of unrealistic romance, but I trust EH so I just went with it. So glad I did because despite my reservations that aspect didn’t really matter. Yeah, it was definitely a major plot point but there was so much more to this one. Daphne and Miles both have very fleshed out and unique characteristics as individuals and I absolutely adored them both. Their relationship was adorable and the authors signature banter shined like never before. Miles was the very definition of charming and Daphne was a bookworms Dream character. Their opposites attract, fake dating, forced proximity, friends to lovers story was fantastic and I couldn’t have loved them together anymore. The secondary characters were also great as was the setting and Miles showing Daphne his town was cute and made me feel like I was right there with them. It didn’t quite beat out Book Lovers for me but it was close!
