I actually liked it. It was cheesy, but I actually freaking liked it

     Meh. Terrible finale. The pacing of this series was very odd and the endings are incredibly dissatisfying. Cheap storytelling and ultra-convenient plot lines. Poor romance writing. No chemistry and often very underdeveloped. As a queer person, I generally adore and appreciate queer rep, but the case in this book did a serious disservice to proper rep. It was underdeveloped, rushed, and awkward. Poor conflict development. No payoff. Poor action writhing. Poor characterization at times. My favorite scene in the entire series is when Mirabella comes after Arsinoe in the second book. The tension is phenomenal and it’s so memorable. 

     The biggest grievance I have with this book is the slow pace. You can tell immediately that this exists for the higher purpose of setting up for the grand finale. It's the third book and we still haven't gotten that far. Some people are dead. Some new characters have been introduced. Some new conflict has been established. This book is slow and a little stale. Mirabella, Arsinoe, and Billy are the only reason I got through it. 

This books was also for one of my classes, but I loved it. It's digestible, attention-grabbing, interesting, and so so well-written. It's engaging and funny. It's very informative. I loved it. 

For a class textbook, it's pretty easy to read and somewhat interesting. There's a sense of humor woven into the whole thing and a lot of the information presented is super cool. Not so bad. It's still about my least favorite subject in the world so I can't like it too much. But the book was the best part of the class so. 

I quite enjoyed it and I’m intrigued to continue the series. I adore Mirabella. I also love the dynamic between Arsinoe and Mirabella. Solid sequel. 

     Mirabella was always my favorite. Nothing against Arsinoe and everything against Katharine. I would jump Katharine if we existed in the same world. I cannot stand her. She’s my least favorite type of person. I hope she dies soon. Stan Mirabella and Arsinoe! That's all.
