I received an advance review copy from Inkyard Press through Netgalley; all opinions are my own and honest.
As always with poetry/prose collections, some of these resonated much more with me than others.
Since a girl can only reread/rewatch Maid Sama! so many times, just imagine my delight to find another romcom manga with a comparable dynamic — and, as a bonus, (mostly) set in college/uni!
Vol 1 is a quick and easy read that got me hooked on the setup, which contains several of my favorite tropes: childhood rivals to frenemies to (eventual) lovers, power couple, pining and obliviousness, protectiveness and jealousy. The art style is lovely, and I look forward to seeing how the story plays out.
