Another beautifully written book by Jodi Picoult. This book is all about finding out who you really are when the world around you is falling apart. It is about learning to be true to who you are and not who everyone thinks you should be.
The characters will make you hate them, make you want to weep with them, be happy when things go right. I've never come across another author who tells her stories as wonderfully as Picoult does. She knows how to craft a character to make them someone you think you know only to find out you really don't.
Absolutely wonderful book.

Yet another amazing piece of literature from George RR Martin. He knows how to bring the characters to life with his words. The descriptions take you away to faraway places... to the midst of battles, the cold beyond the wall, Kings Landing wrought with fear.
It was a bit slow to start, there wasn't much action, mostly traveling. However, you were later rewarded with harrowing tales of battle, flights from death, and ghosts hiding in plain sight.
Such an amazing series.

I loved these short stories, which is saying something because I don't usually read short stories! I thought Miss Marple was a fascinating character. She's so intelligent yet so unsuspecting. It's amazing how observant she is and how well she seems to know people. These stories were definitely worth the read!
Okay, definitely not the type of book I would normally read but holy wow it was good! Yeah, all the technical computer/gamer stuff was way over my head but the characters were great, the story itself was easy to follow, and it kept you interested. There were constantly twists and turns that made me not want to put it down! I can't wait to read the next book in the series!
It's almost 1am here but I had to stay up to finish this book.
It was absolutely amazing! Gillian Flynn is such a brilliant writer. Her characters are always so dark but pathetic. You can't help but hate them and pity them. It's what makes her writing so unique and amazing. I like that her heroines aren't typical. They always seem to be drunks with some sort of mental problem.
I loved the twists and turns of this book. I thought I saw the ending coming, was all smug when I thought I was right and then boom, totally wasn't right. To me, that's the mark of a good crime novel!

This book was so incredible. I read it in under 24 hours and it was 455 pages long! That's a incredible feat for me because of how slow I read!
I loved the variety of the characters in the book. A good portion of it takes place in a concentration camp so you would expect the characters to be broken women but they weren't. They were strong and fierce. They looked out for each other no matter the cost to them self.
While the story itself is fiction it is based off of actual events. The author makes a point to say that at the end of the book. The characters are made up but the atrocities done were real.
This is a book everyone should read. Truly touching story about a group of very brave women.

3.5 stars really. This one didn't quite live up to the hype. I thought Amy was an incredibly naive character which didn't suit the role she was in. I thought the desires she felt for Nox were completely unnecessary to the story, in fact I thought they made her seem kinda pathetic. All this "self realization" was kinda bull shit because she didn't seem to change at all to me.
The story itself wasn't bad, it was just Amy. I liked the concept, it was interesting and new. I thought the writing was a bit rough at times. A few times I had to go back and reread things to make sure I was understanding things properly.
I will read the second book in the series eventually. I'm in no rush at this point though.

Robert Galbraith aka JK Rowling did an amazing job breaking into this genre. It was a captivating read with a diverse set of characters that kept your attention the entire novel. Not only that but it kept you guessing the whole time. I had no clue who did it until the end! Absolutely loved it!
So I didn't realize I had already read this book until I started it. It was lucky then that I didn't actually remember what happened. It all eventually came back to me, the more I read, but it was still an entertaining read the second time around (a little Mary Higgins Clark humor for you there ... Because she has a book called The Second Time Around ... Okay I'm not hat funny).
There's a reason she's called the Queen of Suspense though and this book lives up to her title. It was action packed, suspenseful, with an ending you won't easily guess from the beginning.
It's definitely worth the read and she is one of my favorite mystery writers!

I absolutely loved this book!!!!!
I need to get the next book pronto!
America was such an amazing character. I felt connected to her the entire book. And her and Maxon are adorable together! I want them to end up together so badly because they just seem so perfect for each other!
That being said, I was so mad when Aspen came back! I just wanted America and Maxon to have their happily ever after and for him to be forgotten. Obviously I knew that wasn't going to happen but a girl can dream right?
