This is definitely one of the more solid books in the middle grade category. The story starts of exciting right from the beginning and never really slows down, even when our MC finds herself in school. There were some things I probably would have found funny if I’d been younger (so much licking) but was a tad gross because licking things

I really enjoyed most aspects of this book. I loved the mystery and secrets tied in with the creepy supernatural. I definitely had to put this one down a few times late at night because it was starting to creep me out. It got a little frustrating at one point because I thought I knew how they could escape but I started to realize it might not have worked the way I thought it would …
Anyway, I’m going to have to look for more books by this author in the future!
