DNF’d @ 40% 

The dirty talk was hot but I just could NOT get past the fact he could be a child killer like?? It was so unnecessary wtf 😭

This was SUCH a good time omg I loved it. I had average expectations going in but it really exceeded that and more. I would find myself thinking about going back to this book any time I wasn’t reading. I loved the characters and the story and the setup. 

Priscilla was litch the cutest button I swearrrr she’s adorable but also competent and really loveable. She did make some silly decisions which I ignored lmao. The way she thinks was so comforting bc she’s an overthinker and I felt that on a deeper level. 

Oliver had me blushing twirling my hair biting my finger waiting with bated breath for what he would do next. Whenever he’d enter the scene I’d find the strength to blink back sleep and read one last chapter.

The only reason this isn’t a five is bc the reason for the misunderstanding was very blown out of proportion but it also wasn’t given enough importance when it came time to resolve the matter. I hoped she would mention her dad to Oliver and how the word triggers her but that never happened. It felt a little rushed. But that was the only thing that was the con of this book. Other than that I genuinely had the best time.

This was a confusing read? 

The first half gave a COMPLETELY different story to the second half which fell flat and failed to grab my attention at all. 

It felt so disjointed and messy, there was no structure to this book and it really ruined any sort of enjoyment for me. 

The only thing that gripped me was the drama that the mum orchestrated between Luke and Tilly and Cind lmao it was the only worthwhile entertainment during the whole book. 

Overall, I didn’t enjoy this book unfortunately despite really wanting to.

This was like slow torture. I truly genuinely tried so hard to love this 😭😫 

The characters were bland and the story was mind numbingly boring. The dialogue was flat and awkward it took me out of the story too many times to count. 

I’m so upset because I had the biggest expectations and it rlly underdelivered for me ☹️💔

Satisfaction personified. 

I’m stunned into silence. I’m not even joking. The last 10% was SO unexpected I was just NOT prepared for it. At. All. 

This is most definitely a five star read. Shit like this doesn’t happen to me and it not turn out to be a five star. Fuck. I feel like I’ve been ran thru a blender!

Reading this made me realise reading can still be fun. It made me think yeah omg books can still be wild and crazy and messy but so entertaining and I can be having the best time of my life. I’m genuinely so excited about reading again I just can’t stop appreciating this author for shifting this bright ray of joy to shine its warmth back on me. I never knew I missed this feeling till it was back. I never even realised I even felt this way till I discovered Mrs Fantome. 

I’ve never experienced books like what this author writes. She’s so cherished by me I’m not even joking rn. 

Yk how everyone talks about feeling that hangover when they’ve finished Rina Kent’s series or books, yeah well this author is MY Rina Kent. 

You know you’ve hit the jackpot when an author doesn’t write around tropes, the storyline is unique and u just feel like their writing was TAILORED to fit u, just u. 

I couldn’t stop thinking about this world, these characters. Anytime I’d be doing something that’s not reading I’d be YEARNING to go back to my book, to read more. I just HAD to know what was gna happen next. If bingeable was a book or author this/she would be IT. Im officially obsessed with mrs fantome. My money? It’s hers. She’s mothered too hard I’m scared what imma do when I’ve read all her released works omg 😭 new fear unlocked 🔓 nooooo what am I GNA DOOO BYE LEMME GO HAVE A MENTAL BREAK ABOUT THIS WHILE ALSO HAVING A MENTAL BREAK ABOUT THE ENDING OF THIS BOOK WHICH WAS SO DEVASTATING I CANT EVEN DESCRIBE HOW BAD IT WAS WTF HOW HOW HOW HOWWWWW COULD THEY DO THIS ARGH I WANNA CRY AGAIN UGHH 😭😭💔💔💔

In all seriousness, I had the best fking time with this. Once I truly got stuck in, around the 50 page mark, I genuinely couldn’t stop reading. It kept me fighting sleep for one more page. It was the last thing I saw before my eyes closed and the first thing when I woke. 

I just knewwww Eli was GNA be a gentleman in the streets and filthy in the sheets. But man is he so freaking caring and considerate 🥹😭 I loved him sm. the forehead kisses and flowers had me feeling all sorts of feelings 😫 where is my Eli !!??

Sage, my cutie patootie bbyg. I just wanna give her the biggest hug everrrr. She deserves all the love and support the world has to offer. 

I have adored Bal Khabra’s writing since before she got trad published and I’ve been soo freaking happy to see her get the recognition and success she deserves.
