I enjoyed this. Cormoran Strike is a really great character and the detecting was pretty clever too. Not too obvious but not too far fetched. I'll definitely read the next in the series.
A very faithful update of Sense and Sensibility and a nice read, but it only gets 3 stars from me because it's just that - there's nothing special about it.
Modern retellings are often disappointing because they are so different to the original that the characters are unrecognisable. This one had beautifully recognisable characters but nothing very new. Like I said - a nice read.

A 3.5 star reread to coincide with the Tour de France. I suspect this would be a bit boring if you weren't a Tour fan, and it is dated thanks to the Lance Armstrong doping scandals, but it's still a fun read. Vive Le Tour!
I read this 6 or 7 years after reading book 2 (which I didn't realise was a book 2 when I read it). I don't think it matters which book you read first, but I do think leaving some time between books so you forget the story makes them more of a fun read! :)
