4.5 stars - looking forward to the next one now!

Better than I expected, especially after the last couple of books. Not the ending most of us wanted, but not a surprise. The writing was on the wall. It's a shame the books just fizzled into nothing, but I'm glad I read this one just to end it all. And to be honest, Eric deserves better anyway.

Better than the last one, which was a real waste of time. 3.5 stars and I hope the series starts to pick up again. This was just good enough to keep me reading but I'm at the ready-to-ditch-the-whole-lot point if it doesn't start going somewhere better soon. This series started out good. It went downhill once it got picked up by TV.

And for the record, the books bear no resemblance to the True Blood series apart from the fact that both resemble a car crash at times and you keep reading/watching in spite of yourself!

I don't know why I keep reading these. There seems to be less and less happening in them as they go along. And I like Sookie less and less. But I'll be starting the next one just because so little does happen in each one that you need to read the next to get the answers to all the quite big questions you're left with. I hope she stops writing them soon - they really aren't very good any longer.
