Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebook Fire for the e-arc of the book

So. Just to make things clear. We have tales retelling. Disabled Lesbian with sword. Characters of Colors. Dark academia. A lot of sapphic characters. An aro and ace character. Mysteries. Murders. Great characters.

So I think this book is awesome. I mean it has everything. It’s a mix between plot and characters driven story. There are multiple povs. You have to understand who is who. And this is the perfect start for a book serie.

Yeah I really loved it. I’m always a sucker for retellings. And better when it’s gay. So thank you for this book. And now I can’t live in peace without having the second one

Thank you NetGalley for the audio-Arc of the book.
I loved this story about family, friendship, love and queer platonic relationship.
It talks about being fat and how people body shame you for that. But also about racism, and expectation for a young black woman.
The characters were lovely and had a great development.
Also the food description? Awesome

WoW. I’ve read it in french. And it was amazing. Honestly I love Darius, such a great character (no puns intended). Finding your place. But what really touched me is how the book talks about depression, I cried when he talks to his dad. It’s such a great book. And now I don’t know if I can read another book before a while.
It’s really a great book

First of all. Thank you NetGalley and Flux for the digital arc of the book.

This is a great story. First there’s a lot of action. Since chapter one. The characters? They have flaws, and they’re human. And it’s sapphic, and there’s a love triangle without a love triangle… hard to explain

But for the story? Picture a rich heiress running away to save her sister and having to work with a crew of outlaws in a city that would eat her if she was alone. Picture a badass chief that is a better shooter than Lucky Luck. A team that’s clearly a family. Some lgbtq+ characters. Also a rich man who destroys life and unleash a vicious virus in a world of tech.

So you kinda have the story. But it’s better than it sounds. And I think I would totally read a volume two. I don’t want to get rid of the characters. And the feelings I had while reading this book.

So yeah, 400 pages of pure goodness

So you’re telling me that this girl lived for centuries but only fell for men? Come on this is too straight.

Jokes aside. I really loved the third and fourth stories. I love how we understand how much she is resentful. I mean the Doctor wanted to save her but he destroyed her life. I really loved this character. I hope there’ll be a book with her adventures later in her life or even with Clara

Okay but this book has two of my favorite tropes. Found family and ennemies to lovers. It has lesbian side characters, and some other lgbtqia+ rep.
When I started it I was in a bad and long reading slump. And the book is kinda massive you know.
It can start slowly, but obviously once you’re in, you won’t be able to let it go. Like you have to finish it.

Yes. There’s a romance. But also a big mystery and myth, creatures, magic. So yes. It was pretty great. And the characters are awesome, and the bad guy? Really scary.

Plus, i think the cover will be gorgeous!
