Need to read book 3. NOW

I really liked it. Great start. I already love Xanthe so much. They are so badass and work great with Constantine (first time I read a comic with him). I want their power so much 

This is so fucking sick and twisted. Like please someone check this man’s computer. So, like a lot of people I was like « hold my fucking beer » when I saw that a lot said they couldn’t get pas page 40. Well I am a fucking dumb ass and I need to do more research before jumping on a book like this. But it’s not just page 40. It’s two whole chapter. 

So, in two chapter in a row we have: Rape, pedophilia, SA, Incest, someone masturbating with her mother’s shit, and the author (a man) describing a woman’s genitalia (and cum like he says) with all the words possible (even the worst ones). 
I saw some people say «but it helps to understand the characters». Spoiler: not it does not. It’s just for shock purposes. 
So yes, this is really bad. And there’s no warning for it. It just happens. 

There are some good things in this book, but they can’t make it up for all those things. Especially that the pedophilia part comes back later in the book. 

Also one of the character is an ex nazi, he’s one of the bad guy, but it looks like he was given forgiveness for his war crimes (okay I have to admit I kind of stopped reading the book with attention at this point). 

So yeah, an horrible book and plus it’s not well written.

WoW. Magnifique. Tant de voix et de sujets importants abordés. Un livre qui sera un best seller jespere. C’est beau, important, touchant, poignant, fort… bref tout ce qu’il faut 

J’ai surkiffé franchement. Je savais que je n’allais pas être déçu avec James Tynion IV. L’histoire est super intéressante, le mystère aussi. Il y a tout un cast de persos mec queer et des persos racisés, et une meuf trans et sans que ce soit le gros truc de l’histoire (ça doit gérer la fin du monde en même temps). C’est vraiment interessantX surtout avec les différentes timeline. 

Après j’avoue que dans le passé on voit beaucoup Norah pré-transition et son dead-name aussi. Je pense c’est le truc qui m’a vraiment fait tiquer, le deadname n’était pas obligatoire quand on la voyait au passé

Look. I am always in for a good fart/poop and sometimes even a « genital » part when it’s a good joke. But this book? Not funny. Okay maybe 2/3 jokes made me smiled or chuckled. But the author really loves genitals and that’s soooo awkward. And the poop/fart part is just gross. Also let’s not talk about the not so hidden homophobia. Oh and the fat shaming and the use of the r-slur. 

Anyway 😑

This is not a good Babs/Oracle story. It would have been a good story with a whole other cast. Also, does batman and Robin really exist in this world? Because one of the character has a Robin plushie, but Ben has DC Comics posters. 
I liked the Color in the artwork, but god If I took a shot everytime a character said that they needed to be « fix » from their disability I would be in a comma right now. At least the characters learn to fight ableism and know that they don’t know to be fix. 
Also the plot-twist? You can see it coming from the beginning.

Damn. Less than 300 pages and I went through a whole range of emotions. Shocked, surprised, amused, sad, scared, tensed… I really didn’t expected that and the ending???? Wow. Loved this book
Just wished they used the word lesbian a the beginning 

Jason. Mon fils, ma bataille. Il mérite une histoire comme ça avec Bruce. Une histoire où il évolue, lui et sa relation avec son père. Et les flash-back? Oof 😭

Un bon dernier tome qui tient ses promesses honnêtement. Un peu chiant les réf a HP, mais y en a moins que dans les tomes précédents. J’ai aussi beaucoup aimé qu’on voit plus Lara que dans le tome précédent. Vraiment un superbe personnage. Bref à bientôt pour un nouveau livre de V.E. Schwab
