It says Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett right there on the cover, so it’s probably obvious, but this book was so brilliant. It’s hilarious, and so much of the humor is so layered and understated. I can’t wait to check out the amazon adaptation.

Everyone should read this book. Having just read it, I’m in the “want to burn everything” stage, but despite all the horrible news about the state of things in this book, there are some action items, especially for men in power and for women who aren’t currently demanding representation or being counted.

I may be one of just a few people whose first introduction to Watchmen was through the HBO show. I knew the comic was gritty and dark, but I found it to be incredibly hopeful. It’s really well-written with smart interwoven stories and storytelling methods. 5 stars, whether you’re into comics or not, this was both a fun read and much more thought-provoking than you might expect.

It’s a short one, and it’s very good. Definitely worth your time.
