nerdinthelibrary's Reviews (926)

I don't think I've ever felt so overwhelmed by a reading experience. This poetry collection makes me feel the same way that listening to the If Beale Street Could Talk score does.

 Re-read 20/03/18
I re-read this because I'm going to see  Love, Simon tomorrow night (*screams into the abyss*), and when I was out shopping I saw the movie tie-in and decided to buy it after discovering it had an excerpt of the movie script, pictures from the movie, an interview with Becky Albertalli, Greg Berlanti and Nick Robinson, and an excerpt from  Leah on the Offbeat . I would highly recommend getting this copy if you don't already have one.

Unsurprisingly, this book is just as wonderful as the first time. The characters continue to be some of my favourites in all of fiction, the dialogue and Simon's internal monologue were excellently written, Blue x Simon is the cutest pairing ever and I will fight you on this, and I'm now even more excited for the movie!! (On a slightly unrelated note, when reading  T H E K I S S I would 100% recommend listening to the song  Love Lies by Khalid & Normani (it's from the movie soundtrack and fits the mood perfectly))
