it took me so long to read this bc of school but it was heart wrenching and beautiful while being easy to read and comforting

i loved this book!! it had me gripped from cover to cover
i didn’t see any of the plot twists coming and the writing was so elegantly constructed!!! i loved all the little links scattered around and how cohesively they threaded together
can’t wait to finish the series :)

i found this hard to get into, because i overhyped it in my mind after hearing how good it is from other people. it ended up being an amazing book anyways and i loved how the ending was kept as a surprise!! need to go get the next book now :)

i love this book so much
it touched on so many different real life issues that are faced every single day without feeling like they were used for the sake of being relatable
i love how well this book flows and how faridah tied up all the ends into the beautiful bow that is this book
i did want to know what happened to andre but, as he is a side character, it doesn’t really matter much to the plot and i’m not too mad about it
this book is just amazing!!

this was so good it made me switch from team mal to team nikolai
mal just rly pissed me off in this; like he was so nice in shadow & bone but here he’s just a dick.
alina is rly growing into herself and i love that for her
nikolai is the love of my life.

it’s a lovely backstory for the darkling but it’s too short to give a higher rating
seems kinda traumatic icl
